Plenty of talent and experience on the list.
Many people though Tigers wouldn't win a game. We can barely beat them. Well done Ross, what a magician![]()

I think Higgo's dry spell through the middle of the season probably stops him from making it. Other two should be locks for the final team though. We should comfortably have 3 in the squad.
Nas, Wilkie and Higgo.
You know what, I wasn't all the way there. I had my suspicions, because I have eyes.We get it you hate Ross

Have heard a few things tonight, now I am all the way in.
See you in the sack Ross Lyon thread by round 4 next year.

We don't really, same issues keep popping up. If we bring the effort and the oppo are weak enough we can look ok.they flooded, we were too slow to go, it will be addressed during the week, it's not a common feature of our game... well not too common
if we're still as shit next year ill get out the pitchfork, but right now given our list profile im giving ross a pass. The most important thing to me at this stage of the build is our player development, which has been pretty good overall, Nas, Pou, Hall, Garcia, Boxshall, Windy, Higgins keeps getting better, and now we have Tauru and Dodson looking the goods too. That to me is the most important thing at the stage of the build. How was our development under Watters, Richo, and Ratten? Pretty bloody shitWe don't really, same issues keep popping up. It's about reward for effort. Pou is a race horse and needs to be in the race.If Pou is going to be stuck at full forward, I'd rather he stayed at Sandy getting midfield minutes.
He was horrific for three quarters today.Sincs is also elite.
So far the horse has had four starts in three years. It's about reward for effort. Pou is a race horse and needs to be in the race.
The real problem with this side at the moment is just lack of height.
Tallest players playing today:
Heath 204cm (unable to have much impact then subbed off)
Marshall 200cm (solid game)
Caminiti 196cm (decent defensive game again)
Sharman 194cm (tough day for a 2nd/3rd tall forward asked to play on his own down there)
Tauru 193cm (solid 8th game, continues to show great signs)
Wood 192cm (never quite plays his height but would have been a matchwinner if he'd just kicked a couple of his shots)
Wilkie 191cm (champion)
Phillipou 190cm (playing in the wrong role and underdone)
Compare that to Richmond:
Nankervis 199cm
Lynch 199cm
Miller 198cm
Young 196cm
Armstrong 195cm
Balta 194cm
Brown 193cm
Broad 192cm
McIntosh 191cm
More of them, more experienced and bigger bodied generally.
So we went -4 on contested marks, which is very close to our average for the year of -3.7 contested marks per game (ranked dead last in the comp).
Add back Max King, TDK, Howard/Aleer next year and I reckon the side gets beaten in the air a lot less.
True, but at least Membery would lead the length of the ground if he had to. He was quite often the only player moving. We missed that yesterday.Particularly enjoy how Jones has taken over from Membery with holding up the play.
You mean getting the 4 worst teams in a row and playing like we are just as bad as themThe fixture hasnāt helped this..
He's been badly hamstrung by player availability and fixture. Early in the year we had some excellent games but (imo) the tough fixture cooked the group as the rest of the season has been a grind. We'll probably finish around 11th unfortunately, but it's probably a correct representation of where we should be. With the key injuries we've sustained and the youth policy at work it's a pass mark from me, albeit another year of disappointment.Good to see a few supporters are finally beginning to apply a little bit of blowtorch to rtb. Heās come away mostly unscathed from a woeful season for the club. I can imagine the highlights packages at the presentation will be quite dour and awkward to watch until the miracle game when the crowd will all go off.
Heās quite safe though for now. Havenāt heard one single criticism from the afl media yet so all good.
Hastie would have been as useless as Pou was if he was standing at full forward on two bigger defenders.Pretty ordinary situation if Lyon can't get his team up and firing against lesser opposition..no excuse for the WCE loss, or the lifeless three quarters against Melbourne, regardless of the freak last quarter, then scratching home against North, and yesterday's game looking more like a country social game rather than two AFL teams on a perfect day at the MCG. I reckon Hastie would have pulled in a couple of marks in the forward line compared to the unfit stationary Pou.
Yet nearly every man and their dog had us finishing bottom 4.Massively underperforming.
The team has 3 players in the top 20 in the AFL, with plenty of experience and talent around it.
Wake up!!

Stav, I think you of all posters telling others on here that theyāre imagining things is a bit rich in the midst of getting OTP about personnel issues (yet again). Itās a bit Freudian at its best. They flooded back.
Imagine it how you like. But that doesnāt mean there are just free players uncontested every time. We didnāt just decide to pull up and go slow once in good position forward of the centre to give Richmond a chance.
Did we miss some? Yes.
But we simply lacked a genuine tall forward. Hence wasting Pou as a pseudo tall today. (Which was utterly horrible)
Anyone who thinks RTB won't see out his contract have absolutely no ideaYet nearly every man and their dog had us finishing bottom 4.
