I'm so exciting right now. He and the team have a chance to immortalise themselves next weekend. Particularly him (Sidey) and Pendles, but also Goldsack and Reid to an extent.

Always through Steele would get about 20 votes and finish about 7th. Awesome effort though. What a gun.
On the other hand, Tom Mitchell is a really good player, but the Brownlow is such a midfielders medal it bored me.
Gawn and Grundy both were way more influential over the year.

I don’t think I have ever seen him play a worse game than today. Still shocked because he is so damn consistent and was a great form.

Over all, still player of the finals, well done steel
Was talked up all week as the Normie favourite.
Huge pressure and of course much more interest in a plan from the opposition to stop his influence.
Same with Grundy and Cox, much more effort put into them because of the media talk.
Unfortunately not one of those players were able to rise to the occasion and have an impact.
Surely the coaches, and Steele, knew what was coming. Where was the counter Plan?
Where was the player blocking for Steele at the stoppages?
A learning situation. Hope we get a chance to turn it around!

Is there actually a question around Sidey being elite? Been an A grade mid for a long time but last couple of years the consistency with which he does the exceptional surely rates him as elite. Apart from a disappointing grand final he proved again he is a big game player. More important to our team than Pendles last couple of years. Will make a great captain.
