Well, the answer to your first question would depend on the indiscretion - I haven't done anything that had the potential to bring the competition to a screaming halt.

Not sure about the second question, how petty are you?

Not very. I certainly don't live my life vicariously through the lives of celebrities or public figures.

Once again, you're making things up as you go along to justify your warped version of reality.

I never said he broke the law (I dont think).

How many people view his punishment as extreme? Certainly not anyone with a shed of common sense.

I do Mckenna breached it, got infected and what was his penalty? Was going to open houses etc. NOTHING.

Neither do I. That's why I'm quite comfortable with the penalty.

These blokes can do what they like as far as I'm concerned, but dont whinge when they cop their right wack. Some on here have taken it as a personal affront, or some kind of anti Collingwood conspiracy, which is just ridiculous.

No, of course not.

But anyone who thinks he only deserved 2 weeks has their beanie on too tight.

So this is just a simple case of you thinking your opinion is more valid/right than anyone else's, and that anyone who disagrees with you lacks common sense or wears their beanie to tight. Says it all really. I'll leave it there.

If you cant see the bigger picture, and that the AFL were always going to throw the book at him, its probably best you do leave it there.

Why did they only give that Essendon guy one week? He actually had covid.

Happy for you to show me where I've done any of those things. Doesn't change my view that the penalty was excessive. I'd have thought 2 weeks was justified, the extra 2 weeks just the AFL as is their right making a statement to all other players.

In terms of "right wack", there are currently 3 of us in this chat (you, me & Jmac) and 2 of us think it was excessive. Says to me that you're holding a minority view. As I say, I'll leave it there.

Steele had three transgressions and McKenna one. Whether McKenna had covid or not is irrelevant under the rules.

Why did they let the infected mckenna off? Where is his penalty? FFS Howe was part to the team and just had his season ruined. Give me a Steele anyday over uncaring campaigners like the AFL.

Thats a good question. He went to an open house and visited someone. Should have been 2.

As for having Covid, he tested negative on the Wednesday, positive on the Saturday, then negative on the Tuesday, and negative ever since. very strange.

Nothing strange at all, unless you are elderly or have certain illness its a nothing burger of a virus.

Of course, attack the individual who disagrees with you. Typical.

I think the last thing Steele wants to do is get up in court and explain, under oath, why he was wandering around Williamstown at 7:30 am in his Reg Grundies.
Why would he need to explain that? He wasn’t charged with anything. He has been suspended from performing his job for catching an Uber and visiting a friend.

Its just stunning how many matches Collingwood players have missed over the past decade for reasons not related to football.

Heath Shaw, Swanny, Daisy Thomas, Didak, Cloke, Josh Thomas & Lachy Keeffe, Sam Murray, Howe, DeGoey, Sier, Stephenson, Sidebottom and Dunn. Its moronic. And that's on top of consistently having one of the worst injury tolls too.

Is it any wonder we don't win many premierships? Yet another own-goal conceded by the Pies.

Hey Guys, I come in peace, but I generally want to know a Collingwood point of view here...

I have actually been someone from another club who thinks Eddie has been awesome for your club over the years, in fact I was envious for a long period that we didn't have a president who actually managed to get things done for their football club. It was never a question of lover him or hate him, it was judge him on his output, and he has put Collingwood in a wonderful position over the last couple of decades!

That being said, do Pies supporters think his time has come to limit his capacity to only ONE of Club President or Media Commentator? I think with the level of scrutiny and excessive amounts of media these days on the AFL, Eddie has found himself (IMO anyway) being too contradictory in his portrayal of incidents in the media, therefore reflecting really poorly on the footy club?

Is it time to step away from one?

Don't get me wrong, I actually don't have too much problem with him trying to protect Steele here, just that his response flies in the face of what he said for Jack Steven and Lachie Hunter that it is taken as a reflection of your club rather than the individual...

Are you guys starting to get fed up with Ed, or the reflection he has on the club, or are you happy with what goes on?
