Not that they are getting rid of it entirely.

Proposed changes have included things such as no father-son or academy picks for the whole first round of the draft.

So there may be changes like that, but there will still be f/s.

I like it. Father Son, NGA and the Northern Academy are all good concepts but they're ****ing the draft too much. This way they're still there and advantageous, but don't **** the draft as much - and the kids who are really bolted on to a club will do a Henry and get there anyway - clubs will just have to either trade up in the draft or trade them in in a couple of years down the track - so it will be a fairer price.

It's more than just that though - the current situation gives the Northern clubs a massive advantage and will give the WA clubs one too.
