Yayyyyy father and son plus a little scorpio šŸ’•
Exciting. The Sidebottom brothers playing in the 2040s. Ned arrived in January last year and will be eligible for the draft in 2042

Jax's draft year is 2035 and Beau will be a year after Ned in 2043

I think we should use Sidey in the Will Hoskin-Elliott Swiss Army knife role this year mostly used as a forward with the ability to be used onball and on the wing when needed think sort of what Will Hoskin-Elliott was but with an inside game like Dangerfield

Wilbur could also take an overhead mark though.

I thought his composure and foot skills were fantastic against GWS, Steele was one of the few with the ability to hit targets.....

Congrats to Steele is now equal 16th all time games played.

The downside, apart from the GWS game, he was been pretty much invisible across 4 games.

Steele is a legend who deserves a more sincere congratulations on a magnificent career in black and white.

I thought 2026 was finally going to be the season some of us got our wish and we saw Sidebottom the forward pocket.

Given his total of 1 behind for the season so far I guess that remains a dream.

If people want to level any criticism then it should be directed at Fly if anyone.

Personally I wonder why we're still relying on a 35yo to attend a centre bounce or asking him to fill holes that should be the responsibility of much younger legs now surely.

He's still got a great footy brain, is a deft touch by foot , I just wish we'd allow him the luxury of finishing his career in a specialist role that might be less stressful on his aging body and could potentially maximise his impact on the outcome of a game.

God knows we need to find more avenues to goal.

After the QF and Sidey going full front and square guru i thought it'd be worth a shot

I’d like to see him played as a small forward and then be used around the ball or as a defensive wingman when the game is there to be saved.
He is still a pretty smart footballer

Putting the ball through post high from 55 to win a GF after never previously kicking over 35m is some next level genius
It wasa masterstroke to hide how far he could kick it - for 15 years.
