It's pretty crazy how incredible all our over 30's have been playing. Especially considering in the middle of Bucks' coaching era we could barely get players to make to 30yo.

Hosky's age is showing as is Mihocek to a lesser extent but other than that the old guys have been great

What a champion. I was wrong about him. I think it was maybe 3 years ago, I thought Sidebottom was really poor and thought we needed to get rid of him as father time had caught up.
He has been killing it, and like others have said, he is close to career form.
Pendles has been great as well.

i thought father time caught up with him during that 2022 finals series where he had little cameos but i thought was quite poor and fell over leading to the Rohan , Holmes goal sequence in the qualifying final in 2023 he came good but last year he was quite shaky and looked totally cooked

Pendles best year since 2022 so far and he was awesome in 2023 and last year as well

I remember the absolute sh@t fights that happened over Sidebottoms value to the team on this forum.
I always looked at what he offered, and delivered, the team even if he wasn’t racking up big possies.
And I was howled down for that opinion.

all three of our old guys have individual traits which are irreplacable and will sorely miss when all of Pendles , Steele and Howie hang up the boots

When the hell is he going to retire. I said the same to a work colleague (pies fan) when she rang me just after the game (during the song btw, one day I will get revenge if I live that long ) Like death and taxes, Sidebottom ripping us a new one on Anzac day!

In all seriousness, I don't reckon you lose many games when he has a good game. I used to wonder why teams didn't tag him but I think now he is just that good/smart at getting in space.

Daicos is clearly best player in the comp by miles but an in form Sidebottom is almost your MVP IMO.

He is slipping under the guard of opposition expectations I think, that and a new reborn attitude. Other teams just expect an old man to do old man things, not dominate the game. You can't tag Naicos, Jordy, Pendles & Sidey, something has to give and it's Sidey right now. Compare his first 7 games this year to last year, chalk and cheese.
