The Hill v Rich argument seems so ridiculous now. Rich is going fine and will be a good/excellent AFL player but Hill brings so much more. Rich would have been good for his kicking skills and decision making but Hill is has all that and is EXCITEMENT. What a great young kid.

CameronK and I went to the 18's last eyar vs NSW ACT and the two we both raved about were Hill and De Boer.

Also Neville Jetta and Walters
Got 3 of them so can't be unhappy

That day he really stood out. We both were amazed that this skinny little kid was putting his body on the line and the beautiful disposal.

Very happy with the drafting from the club

I love De Boer's aggression too.

What excites me the most is if he can turn matches in his sixth and seventh game, how good is he going to be when he's had two or three years under his belt...

But he's the sort of player, just like Matera that could get 18 touches, kick 5 goals and be best on ground. He's just so damaging.

To be fair we haven't seen picks 1 & 2 in action in AFL yet.
Naita may be an athletic freak and turn out a match-winning ruckman but he will never be as good a footballer as Hill. Very few are.
Watts will be interesting.

Naita was easily one of the safest picks last year ... standout U18 CV, highly durable in U18s and excellent impact for a 200cm U-18 at WAFL level ... IMO will definitely be a L/T AFL player (barring injury) and anywhere from good to outstandingly amazing.

MUCH bigger risks from the 1st round: Davis (little-no form at higher levels i.e U16N, U18N or SANFL seniors), Johnston (talented but headcase), Cordy (v.talented but has nothing on him), Brown (no U16 or U18C form) and Schoenmakers (laconic and doesn't impact enough)

I was highly impressed with him when we played you a few weeks back. He moves with elegance and class, is deceptively strong given how skinny he is at this tender age, and uses the ball superbly. You've got a gun on your hands.
