Which maggies will step it up Next year i think Josh Fraser,Didak,Davies and Trav Cloke will all make there impact in 2006
which player or players do you think are ready to burst onto the scene.

I would hope a few step up, Morrison, Jason Cloke, and a few others, I am not sure about winning the flag I would hope for us to make the finals, but I find that to be dificult right now.

Tarrant and Buckley equal in the Coleman.

Clement wins the Brownlow.

Rhyce Shaw winning a Norm Smith.

and of course winning the premiership ;) :)

That's a good dream, one day hopefully it's going to come true....doesn't look like it from the way we played this year.

At times the team looks good we can build some confidence of our Backline surly and if our Foward line can stay injury free and abit of optamism Collingwood can win the flag next year.:)
i'd have it more like this
Brownlow:Buckley
Norm Smith: Buckley
Collingwood = 2006 Premiers beating Essendon :thumbsu:

I believe we can win a flag over the next 2 years.

We have the forward line, the back line, and our midfield will always be competitive when we are back to full strength. If we were a chance to win a flag over the next 5 years, we must win one over the next 2 years, because our older players aren't getting any younger.

Scott Burns has only got 1-2 years left.
Nathan Buckley has only got 2 years left.
Shane Wakelin has got 1-2 years left.
Anthony Rocca has got 3-4 years left.
James Clement won't be the same player than he is now in 2 years time.

It would be great reward for those players if we can win a flag when they're still around playing football. Burns has been at the club for a good 13 years now, and we all know he deserves a premiership medallion around his neck. Buckley has been a champion for us over 11 years, and we all want him to be the captain when we win our next flag.

Lets hope 06' is the year of the magpie. Go Pies!!!

Highly optimistic & bordering the realms of impossibility…

Having said that, if we reflect on Rounds 9, 10 & 11, West Coast, Hawthorn & Geelong. Those 3 consecutive wins were the highlight of 2005. I can’t speak on behalf of everyone, but I felt there was a chance of scrapping into the 8. If we can play with that heart consistently, 2006 will be an intriguing year, especially if we have any luck with injuries. There would be no reason why we couldn’t give the finals a shake. We have the cattle to do it.

I am not concerned about what the trolls think… Quietly & more importantly, opposition teams will be wary of the Black & White in 2006…

Well i would be extremely disappointed if in 2006 we didnt see the best of Fraser, Didak, Tarrant.

Others like Lonie, Lockyer, J.Clo, etc represent smaller investments but i would stil like them to step up. And i feel that if they dont they will be given the flick.

Im also a firm believer that to get the best about of Leon Davis you have to play him off the bench either pinch hitting in the forward line or in the middle

Well, we need the youth of the early decade to stand up. No-one has really delivered a fine consistent season due to many things, but these are the players who certainly have the potential to make something happen in 2006

- Josh Fraser - missed most of last year through knee injuries...most important player to the club
- Alan Didak - back from injury and the sensation may be a midfield star
- Ryan Lonie - very capable but needs to play also when the team doesn't perform
- Leon Davis - spark in the midfield, but is a goalkicker
- Jason Cloke - proved himself late 2005, but needs to do it once more
- Chad Morrison - is experienced, and needs form to keep his spot

hopefully Dids will be an injury and suspension free 06, so he can finally show his outstanding skills and most likely his ability to play a vital midfield role.
Reminds me a lot of a younger Nathan. G Brown
