At the time of the CC interview melbourne would or more than likely made their decision on Harris they can hardly come out and say that he is sacked before they have told him. Its un ethical to do so.

If your gonna be pissed off with every bloke who tells a lie in the AFL then everyone will piss you off. Everyone who follows AFL knows what you hear is bullshit and what really goes on behind closed doors is never released to the public.

Did a great job cleaning out the useless administraion department. A pity really, the only one at the club with real brains. I guess some at the club would feel threatened.

CEO Steve Harris is to leave the club after three and half years in the top job. Mr Harris said his decision to leave was a difficult one to make at the start of the Club's 150th anniversary year, but after a series of discussions with Chairman Paul Gardner and other directors, he had concluded this was the most advantageous time for he and the Club to move to the next chapters in their respective lives.

He'd be awesome.

His passion is still AFL, but he is doing a magnificent job at the Storm.

The timing is really crappy - the decision to move him should have been made much earlier.

Also there was no profit - Melb ran at a loss. ....lots of other clubs do it too but the creative accounting employed masks the true situation. Fooooty and others will recall that I raised this after ther elease of your annual report.

2008 could thrust Melb into true profitabiltiy in a big way ....you would hope the CE was just about to put a cherry on top of the plans entering the pre-season comp. Lets just hope the new guy is going to ahve ot start baking the cake from afresh.

It is true to say that the appointment of Harris's replacement is one of the most important off field decisions in the AFL in last few years.
