Yeah correct, scores were low even after adjusting for shorter quarters.

Was a funny year with short turnarounds for games, plenty of factors influencing the scoring.

The MOTM rule change was intended to increase scoring. It hasn't done that so far, but it has made the game flow a lot better and is better to watch. I'm watching more neutral games again now.

Whereas I can no longer watch neutral games any more as the diabolical state of the umpiring, largely due to the constantly changing and confusing rules, makes it impossible to enjoy. Swings and roundabouts.

footy was turning into basketball anyway, footy is just as boring as it was, i would like to see more fights without the umpires stepping in and breaking it up as soon as it starts and i want to see more players doing hip and shoulders and ko-ing players, it would be so much more entertaining to see

6-6-6, standing the mark, being able to run half way up the 50 from a kick in, interchange caps all brought in to stop the chaos pressure.

Best news heard all year. Been a disgrace.
Never been a more incompetent person in that job before. Changing rules every couple of weeks for the sake of it just to justify his position.

Hopefully the next person won't be so trigger happy and just leave the umpires alone to do there job. Also need to stop stamping players put for little thing that shouldn't even get a week. Hocking went way over the top suspending players just because his on an huge ego trip
