We all know of the Steve Johnson story. Suspended earlier in the year, shocking season last year and all that. Many of us called for his head at the end of last season. He has exorcised many demons and doubters this year.

If you cast your mind further back, to the Sydney semi final of 2005 when Johnson in my opinion cost us the game. I think you all know of the incident I am talking about, Johnson was lazy and didn't run the ball over the boundary line, allowing a desperate Luke Ablett to smash the ball forward resulting in the unthinkable goal. This was obviously a harsh assessment because SJ was one our best that night, but I look back on that incident as the moment which really cost us the game and resulted in that devastating loss, I'm sure he felt partly responsible too.

I am so pleased that it has been Johnson that got us over the line against the Pies and went on to win the Norm Smith. That awful night at the SCG is all but forgotten.

Once again, Steve Johnson is the best footy story this year and is a credit to himself. Congratulations Stevey, you bloody deserve everything coming your way mate. :thumbsu:

Yep, I'll salute to this post.

Johnno is probably the best story for us this year (aside from the whole Premiership bulldust ;) ). He'll back it up next year, too.
