Johnson more magic, LeCras is more consistent.

LeCras excelled as basically our only good forward target last season (excluding Kennedy), I couldn't see Johnson doing the same in a crap team.

LeCras just.

Id prefer LeCras.

Steve Johnson can go on superb runs of form where he undoubtably the best small/medium forward in the league, but I know what I am getting with LeCras, good consistancy and amazing accuracy on tap.

Not sure about that. Johnson was actually pretty good before we rose up the ladder, it wasn't like he'd never played well before 2007 because he had.

Very close to call.

People say Johnno is inconsistent but it's more that he's injury prone really - when he's been fully fit (2007, first half of 2009 and now again in 2011) he's really been as consistent as they come.

I suppose, but you were never as crap as WCE were in 2010 and even '09. Had the worst forward line delivery in the league.

You don't kick 208 goals in 90 games (only 8 goalless) without being fairly consistent.
Fair call. However since his breakout, LeCras has kicked close to 120 goals over a 40 game period.

Yep Lecras a gun, no doubt.

Also Johnson plays a little further up the field, and generally sets up as many goals as he kicks himself.

Both great players. However, over the last season or so I've developed a question mark over SJ's performances in big games. He just seems to go missing when we need him most. This also may be due to him not being fully fit for the past season or 2.

So difficult.

Johnson has greater experience playing further up the ground on a more consistent basis. Sets up a looooot of goals and just has that x-factor.

That said I think LeCras has the ability to score more heavily. If he gets in the groove he can certainly pile them on quickly, usually an attribute of the more dynamic power forwards.

Can also do the impossible. May not look as flashy as Johnson when doing it, but when on he can kick them in anyway from anywhere. Probably describe his style as clean and highly skilled.

If one thing was to tip the ballance it would just be that LeCras is younger, so he may match/exceed Johnsons output and end up the better player of the two.

Either way both guns.

Nice poll choice. I'm leaning towards Johnson simply because of his ability to be a total freak. Lecca is a fantastic player but its a pretty straight game that he plays, Johnson is just a total freak. However if Lecca continues to kick goals and goals and find that 08, 09 and 010 form then I'm sure in time he will pass Stevey J.
