Too often for my liking Johnson does not place the club first but is more interested in banter with the opposition. 2 incidents this week may be looked at. I am sick of his niggle.

Johnson has been reported 5 times in his last 30 odd games. A blind man can see a pattern
Is this the most in the league? Another record for the club.
Play the ball mate!

This is the attitude that is permeating the club and has to be stopped

How does the team settle down with this crap and distraction.
Yet our coach calls it by-play
Stop the by-play and concentrate on the one on ones we get beaten in 100% of the time

I said trade him several years ago. Too late now.
If that were the case perhaps we would have kept one of the other old timers.
Would he be of more value to us than Pods right now?

And yes I know how good he can be and also how bad to the team and himself!!

As it was before my time - what was this place like pre-2007? Did people react like this to every loss, wanting to sack different players & coaches because we aren't winning 100% of games? How many threads asking for Mooney to be sacked or questioning his attitude due to his year of suspensions?

Not going to excuse Stevie's recent suspension record, but it's not exactly like our players have been clean cut over the journey since 2007, but it does seem now that should we lose a match or not smash a team by 100 points and a player looks likely to be reported the DQ's come out with this sort of bs.

Our players aren't perfect, but I don't know too many teams that go a full season without at least one player getting suspended. While it would be nice to win 100% of games during the season, and to not have any players suspended, that isn't realistic and people need to understand that, and stop over reacting because it is tiring reading the same line of crap when things don't pan out as they want. We have been spoiled by the teams success since 2007, but if people really think that 2 losses are the end of the world/team, they have a lot to learn.
 
Supporters have a go at SJ not handling a hard tag- they also have a go at Selwood for the same reason- but if you look at the stats/record - they dont appreciate how hard it is

You take Mitchell - who is a champion player - yet in the GF - opposed to Crowley - he had 10-11 possessions and had no affect on the game- the week before he had 38

Look at Brent Harvey ( over 300 games) and his frustration with Crowley - or Cotchin (a very fair player) reaction to the Collingwood tagger

People use to rave about Ling ( never forget when he had his arm around Daniel Kerrs waist - thats cheating)- i wasnt sad to see him go

Taggers in general - are overated hacks - sure they can be important - but there still hacks

Is one of the most dangerous and effective midfielders of 2014 more value to us than Pods right now?

For all his virtues, Stevie Johnson has one serious flaw - a loose wire that results in occasional brain fades, particularly against Fremantle. We're still way ahead when you do a cost-benefit analysis.

yeah, i mean pods averages a half goal more a game......

.......15 less possessions, less marks, tackles, i50s, r50s, lower efficiency, no clearances compared to SJs 5....

i mean, if he wasn't suspended last year would have snagged the brownlow most likely, and is on track again this year...

we dont want that crap around our club.

How many players from then to now have been cited 5 times in 30 games? Including missing FINALS?

So in other words, just accept that Johnson's an idiot? That's a great way to improve the club. Maybe Harley shouldn't have pulled him into line in early 2007 then, they just should have said "oh well, that's how he is, no point trying to get him to change". Or ask Ablett to train harder, maybe they should have left him the same too?

How often have we thought that when it comes to Geelong players and then been surprised otherwise by the MRP. Hope you are right
