As I speak, Everton are 4-0 up against Leeds with a hat-trick by Steve Watson!!! This is looking very good for us indeed, we haven't won this comfortably in a while and this gives us the kick-start so desparately needed.

Once again Watson shows how versatile he is, he revels in a right midfield role though he can play in any outfield position. Perhaps our creativity problems have been partly solved at least!

We want 10, we want 10!

Even Peter Reid admitted that his side were very, very bad. But make no mistake- this was an awesome Everton performance no matter how you look at it! We simply dominated, McFadden was sublime, and we won with a conviction we haven't had in ages.

I think I might write a thesis on Leeds shortly but for matters at hand. Congratulations to Everton, good win and I'm sure they would have beaten us even if we did try. Secondly Nicky Barmby is a muppet, another one of Venables lover boys. He'll probably end up getting a run but I doubt he'll make a difference. As for Leeds going down, after the Newcastle game I thought we would be alright. Prior to yesterday I still had a sense of optimisim, however we are now officially ****ed.

Do you think relegation is a real possibility? On this display one would think so... and one also wonder how many players Leeds will lose when the transfer window opens, surely things musn't be good for you guys!

So what now? Sheffield United are top of Division One and might well be Yorkshire's sole Premiership club next season by the look of things. Given the problems at Leeds, plus the decline of Wednesday, might give you food for thought...

I would not be surprised at all if we did get relegated. Losing players doesn't scare me, none of them are really worth keeping anyway and it would be good to slash the wage bill and wipe off the debt so we could avoid a 10 point deduction next year in Division 1. I think we have to bite the bullet and go into administration with the main aim been keeping the club alive. A few years in D1 won't hurt us as much as some think once we get the money sorted out.

Whats Jermaine Pennant's situation. I think he was on an initial 2 month loan, but that may have been extended to the rest of the season.

With Arsenals injury and possible suspension worries could an early recall be in order?

As far as I know he's on a 2 month loan with possibly the option of an extra month. Obviously we would like to extend it and Jermaine himself is happy to stay for a bit longer if he's getting first team action.

What about Aaron Lennon, youngest Premiership player at the moment at the age of 16. Both him and Milner seem promising, but I wonder if they see any future in staying at Leeds?

Both would be snapped up quickly. There would be a complete cleanout I would imagine.

There is still 31 games to go, so it is premature to be talking relegation, but with the tough run coming up of Blackburn (H), Man U (H), Liverpool (A), Arsenal (H) we would want to show a vast improvement or else we could be in a spot of bother. It is not the type of run you want when you are struggling, but we can't beat the battlers so maybe playing the big guns will fire the side up.

The Mirror is reporting that Reidy is in for the sack in the next few days. If true this would be all the evidence I need to be convinced that the people running Leeds are clueless, and for the first time I am starting to have doubts as to whether or not they will survive.

Reid is on a rolling 12 month contract and will be entitled to a payout of £600k if he is given the can. Why bother selling of your quality players on the cheap to make savings on the wage bill, only to hand it to a bloke that is doing as well as any manager would do given the players at his disposal.

Of course it could just be crap, in which case I will have to resort to laughing at the Leeds situation instead of feeling just a tad sorry for the people that aren't responsible for the mess they are in.

No point in sacking the manager now. We need to unite as one and fight our way back up the table. No one would want to take over at this stage of the year and another change of manager would be even worse, especially after all the work Reidy and Kevin Blackwell have done with the side. This isthe time where some spirit is needed.

i hope for leeds sake they get some points against the rovers cos the run is tough. knowing my team (liverpool) i'm sure we'll only be too happy to give you a draw. what was that? you'd like 3 points? í'm sure something can be arranged. and god knows we have enough injuries.

hope the blades get up this time. was hoping they'd qualify last season. have a soft spot for sheffield utd as they were the first team i saw live in the flesh (beat Oldham Athletic 5-1 at Bramall Lane).

The Prof. in my eyes hasn't done much wrong yet but sacking Reidy would be pointless. It will cost us money, cause even more unrest and there's only one manager who I think we have a small chance of getting who is decent, Paul Hart, who actually has been linked with the job although I don't see why he'd leave Forest for us. The only reason Hart originally left was because George Graham wasn't giving him enough credit for his work and generally ignoring youth.

I don't think a change of manager will have any effect on whether we get relegated this year or not, because we are pretty much ****, end of story. Half the players don't give a **** and those who do are past it/always injured. By bringing in Paul Hart I would assume the club are thinking of the long term and creating a new squad with the young 'uns. Only problem is I'm concerned if we can actually survive the drop, if we do survive I've no doubts everything will be turned around in 10 years.

And evertonfc, a word of advice, it's best if your youth actually does something of note before talking them up. I don't see Lennon going to Everton anyway, Man Utd almost snapped him up from us and he's rumoured to be a Man Utd fan as well.

At Everton, what we're aiming to be is the leading exponent of youth in the country, and success built on a team of very young and talented players a la Ajax.

Bloody great win over Leeds. It's about time we put a few goals away. Leeds were terrible though, from all reports. It must be hard to be a Leeds player, and see all your decent teammates being sold off. Reid's making the best of a bad lot at the moment.

Biggest mistake Barmby ever made was to leave Everton. He did really well there. I had a Barmby t-shirt, used to sing his name at matches, then he ditched us all.......
