sarbear, I was refering to the comments in this thread directed at Baker not at what Jeff said at the tribunal.

In fairness to Farmer, he's been the only one from Freo that's been consistent in his comments.

It's BF, happens all the time. A team loses a player to the tribunal, home side supporters go into bat for their player and are attacked from all angles by the BF Buzzards.
Some clearly aren't worth the effort but in this case condemning a player without any real evidence is one out of the bag, worth a go.
Not tough, just the way it is, you could be on the recieving end when you go into bat for Mooney next time. ;)

50% strike rate is about on par with how your season is going. It wont matter what Farmer says - the tribunal knows that he'll just try and get Baker off.

my bad. sorry.

If baker has been found guilty and appeals and loses how could the saints take it to court. i thought the appeal process was bought in so that these situations wouldnt be taken to court.

You've been on here long enough to know that when BF smells blood there will be a feeding frenzy. Geez, the crap that was flying when Geelong was going through the review last year after our shizenhousen year was ridiculous as well. It happens to all of us.

The appeal process is an attempt to ensure the AFL wins if someone takes it to court.

The AFL can't stop clubs taking these issues to court, they can only try and improve their chances of winning. The appeal process is an attempt to do so.

Mr Chairman, of all the blokes who have smashed my face in, Bakes sure is one of the nicest. Given half a chance I would have done exactly the same thing as he did.

Reading between the lines St Kilda has no new evidence all they are complaining about why he is guilty and that is no reason for the appeal.

The tribunal took in Baker's evidence and ruled on that so St Kilda really have no chane and they have wasted $5000 and the appeals boards time.

bloody hell poor baker. its like being on trial twice in the same week. why do they do the tribunal at night, surely it would be better to do it during the day.
