Steven Browne's debut

He looked great on Saturday, I still can't get that leap out of my mind! If he had taken that, then wow! What an introduction to AFL that would have been!

Anyone know the attempt i'm talking about?

Reckon he'll stay in this week?

*I'm not a DT'er, but I am good friends with his cousin, and might bring them along to the game if he plays.

No doubt he'll play again this week. His extra legs and being a WA boy merely strengthen what was already a given after such an impressive debut. He'll play. ;):thumbsu:

Fantastic debut, really pleased with Browney's game. He couldn't have done too much more.

As I said in another thread, started a little slow and looked a little lost. He got a lot of game time because of injuries and that helped him immensely. As the game progressed, he began to get his hands on the ball and became more confident.

He isn't an athlete but a very smart footballer. He knows when and where to run, and won't stop presenting, trying, and putting his head over the ball. He's tough, skillful and smart - a real footballer.

He should definitely stay in the team for this week vs WCE. Showed more than enough in his first game to warrant another, and he'll benefit immensely from another game in the senior team.

We have found a beauty :thumbsu:

Agree but at he isn't the worst athlete either, he can run and chase and keep up with the pace of afl football which is important, probably the one thing holding blacky back

Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Browne recruited as a small defender and to a lesser extent midfielder? If so, why was he started in the forward line and why was a first gamer put in the centre square when the game was up for grabs in the 3rd quarter?

I'd expect being down to two on the bench had a lot to do with that.
