Would suggest the Melbourne and Richmond premierships during the COVID era were harder to win than those in a ‘normal’ season. So many additional obstacles to navigate so they should absolutely not be undersold. Melbourne also had to get past a very talented Bulldogs team in the GF.

The travesty is that Melbourne had assembled a list capable of a dynasty. Should have won at least 3 flags in that period. What should have been a dominant era petered out meekly on the back of some well documented off field behaviors. Having their best player almost die due to mismanaging a serious injury certainly didn't help either.

Should have won at least 3 is a very long stretch.
Should have seriously challenged for more than one would be a fair statement given the list of tallent.
