Had very little trade value last year coming back from his neck injury, weight concerns and his age...ironically the only time he had serious trade value was when we picked him up for nothing in the PSD.

Stevens admitted last year that he used to get on the piss and didn't have the best preparation before Judd arrived. Stevens ducked his head against the Hawks and didn't go hard enough at a contest to hand Bateman a goal.

Should have learnt to pull his head in by now after playing over 150 games.

Stevens will always be this sought of player and won't change.

When we are up by 50pts and pumping a team he will quite often put in a blinder of a qtr with a heap of Possies and some goals, but rarely does it with the game in the Balance when someone needs to stand up. You can almost gaurantee if Stevens gets 25 possies in a game his opponent will be on the same if not more and be more damaging.

If there is no video footage, surely it makes it easier to get off if he appeals?

Alot of players had poor standards before Judd arrived. We had a poor culture, crap board and a moron coach. Stevens has been a good player for us and getting stuck into him for a report is ridiculous. Normally this would be a reprimand but the round 22 incident is hanging over his head. Do we get rid of Fev because he likes to get on the piss?

Did you have the same opinion when Wiggins was reported? (now thrown out). He has played over 100 games? He should know better. We don't even know if Stevens will take it to the tribunal. He may get off

I remember the Hawks game and Stevens was disappointing for sure. One of his worst games for us ever. I also thought that perhaps that SMS threat that was later reported may have had something to do with this.

I appreciate that everyone has different views on Stevens but, we need him.

Also, when Judd is 29 and past his best(??) do we trade him?

You can almost gaurantee if Stevens gets 25 possies in a game his opponent will be on the same if not more and be more damaging.

Rounds 14 and 20 from last year mate, twice we were down and out and twice he was instrumental in getting us over the line. Chill pill goys, sure it is hard to defend, extremely ill disciplined. The leadership group, Juddy in particular will deal with him, hope he comes back in round 3 ready to go!

Another thing, apparently there is no vision, and the report was for body contact, not to the head. Hardly worth crucifying him, not as if it was a punch to the head or anything. My guess he was being held way off the ball by an over zealous rookie, and he threw his hand out to warn him off. Its not ****ing netball FFS!

Plays well regardless of the scoreline and stands up in games plenty. Solid year last year after career threatening injury, will be better this year again this season.

Look, getting reported and suspended is not the end of the world although as a leader should be passed this by now, but lets not throw out the baby!!!!! Stevens still has a lot to offer this club and lets just hope this is the last of his misdemeanours for a while

I seem to recall the Richmond game last June, Carlton were without Judd and Stevens got us back into that game. He didn't go missing at all, infact he was brilliant. Also, the Bulldogs game last year, the Brisbane round 22 game, the Port Adelaide win at AAMI his last quarter was fantastic and helped get us over the line. These are all games that were on the line if I remember correctly.

And how many times in the last few years have we ever been up by 50 points or more and been pumping a team? Not too bloody many I would think.

Agree totally. That's what makes our game great and this forum good to get into. I like Stevo for sure. He's not my favourite but i still see his value.

Why do you think we would have got good value for him in a trade, when you clearly dont rate him? Either he is valuable or he isnt, you are appearing to have a bet each way.
