FFS. Stevo acts like a little girl whenever he gets tagged. Bateman last year, most likely Suban this year.
Are you serious you clowns? In the lead-up to the match it was publicised that he had been receiving death threats for the majority (IIRC) of the year - Bateman probably said something, especially if it was before the pitch invasion. If he ever had a reason to be tense and step out of character, it was R22 with the expectation of being swarmed by 50 thousand members of the public.

Stevens should have been traded because he is unaccountable, a tad soft and isn't a leader.

Stevens admitted last year that he used to get on the piss and didn't have the best preparation before Judd arrived.
Another thing people may notice with Stevens is he goes missing when the game is there to be won and On the Line. When we are up by 50pts and pumping a team he will quite often put in a blinder of a qtr with a heap of Possies and some goals, but rarely does it with the game in the Balance when someone needs to stand up.

Soft he is, definately. Not a leader, is the opposite of what he has become at the Blues. Versus Fremantle, when Judd and Fev went missing, kicked the winning goal infact, and he stood up when needed. Versus Richmond, when Judd was missing, he stood up with an excellent second half. Versus Brisbane, he definately outshone Judd. None of these games were we "up by 50 points". Even arguably had as much impact as Chris Judd in his 150th versus the Bullies. Very "few and far between" my arse - there is 4 games with which you can credit him for having a realistic impact on the outcome (positively).

If you had any impartiality you would speak of how unaccountable, to the point of being a liability, Judd was for whole games last year - his fitness was clearly lacking, and games like Collingwood Rd12 exposed how damaging this could be (for the first three quarters anyways)

Sorry to turn, but you two are absolute geese. Turning into Tigers supporters... We invested very little in him other than match time, and he has helped the club limp through its shittest phase since inception.

As for saying "he hit the piss" - can we get a link - I've never ever read this - not that its particularly negative.

I said that because he had some Trade Value last year in my opinion.

You are entitle to your opinion but in a couple of years when the game has gone past him he will be worth nothing. We may of got a decent pick for him if he was on the market last year.

He had very little value last year as he was coming back from a very serious neck injury and a year out of footy.

In a couple of years Nick may be on the slide but for now and for the forseeable future he has a spot on the list!

He is always one of the players the opposition worry about when planning to play us, and takes the heat for a few of the youngns'.

Im not a big fan of Stevens, in fact he would be a my least liked players list at the club, but I can see his value and appreciate his tireless running and damaging kicking (although it hasnt been his best this preseason):)

Exactly!! :):)

I know my Posts may ruffle a few feathers but as i said before he is not a player I like and this is my view on him. :)

As i said before we can win without him No Problems.

I agree that you have an opinion to share but can you tell me when we have been up by more than 50 points and pumping a team as you said in a previous post? I can only recall Port Adelaide at the TD last year. I hope I didn't miss the others:eek::eek:

Why do you think we would have got good value for him in a trade, when you clearly dont rate him? Either he is valuable or he isnt, you are appearing to have a bet each way.

The highlighted bit says it all. I dont rate him. Other teams my see a need for him and a line in the water may of got a bite for him from another team.

And here come the personnal attacks ( Geese, Clowns etc)

Like i said this is MY opinion, i am not asking you to agree with it, this is how i see him.

Where would the World be if everybody had the Same Opinion????

This is the first I have heard of even an incident.
Was there anything in it?

Mate noone was offering high draft picks for trades last year. We could have had ROK with pick 6 for instance, and the club was never going to make that trade.

Like it or lump it, he is a Blue for life now, and at least in the short to medium term, he is an important part of our midfield rotation. His best is extremely damaging, and certainnly requires attention from the opposition, refer to Hawthorn in round 22 last year, Bateman was tagging him. That freed up Murphy who had 38 touches. My wish is for Murph to get that tag, if Stevo gets the ball 38 times, look out.

You didnt need a Top 10 pick to get a good kid last year. The draft was awesome. Look at Mitch Robinson Pick 40.

Mate he is our vice captain, just about the most experienced player we have in a group that is very inexperienced. Yet you would have us trade him for a speculative second round pick, because at the end of the day, that is all picks from round 2 and beyond are.

Good decision to keep him, because clearly we wouldnt have gotten value in return.

No. Any suspension is usually a stuff-up. We have to shuffle our line-up, tweak the game plan and don't forget he always tore Richmond a new one. Big loss, dumb mistake (last years I know). Stevens, you childish, selfish dick.

Busted on video! He would have been handy against the Brions, but it could be worse. I hope the leadership group makes it clear how stupid it is to be suspended like that in a practice match.

I'm more worried about Fev's heel and Grigg's hammy though.

Not happy at all, just plain stupidity to do something like that any time of year, let alone in a practice match. Poor form Nick, not the behaviour of a leader of the club.

Stevens should have ignored his tagger and controlled himself like Judd.

Yet it's still extremely soft to be offered two weeks for that after viewing the footage.

The media and report made it sound like Stevens killed him.

It's just a push to slap away Suban's arm and fend him off.

Schammer retaliated and got nothing.

Stevens should have run through Suban when he was over the ball like Bryan.

Then Stevens would have been cleared and praised for his hardness.

The game is for fairies because you get rubbed out for that and not cleaning people up over the ball.

A bump looks great, but there's nothing great and brave about running through someone who is playing the ball.

Our priorites are all messed up.

It wasn't what I was expecting to see, but it was a stupid thing to do regardless and he should take the 1 week.

I would have thought that what looked like a Schammer 'king-hit' would have come under some scrutiny as well but I cannot say that I'm surprised he didn't get anything, with the current tribunal/MRP system in place.

That looked a fair bit worse than what Stevens did.

The only thing that got Stevens a potential holiday and Brian Scabber nothing was the camera footage could no way hold up against a defense at the tribunal by Schammer. Stevens was a lot clearer.

Probably unfair but "Such Is Life".

"Serial Hothead" - Haha... only gets the week because of getting reported for smacking that Hawk in the face... Looked open handed, and just got him under the sternum, hence making it look worse than what it actually was.

Still should be able to show a little more composure, especially in a practice match.
