Stevens up forward?

Might as well try it.
- Gives Nathan Bassett the freedom of playing as a 3rd tall in defence, instead of getting the smaller players
- Give Stevens some confidence in his game again
- Will provide another tall target down forward
- Is a reasonable contest mark
- Athletic

So why doesnt Craig give this option ago. Or better yet, Nathan Bock down forward, but that won't happen coz Bock is in AA form at Centre Half Back and we wouldnt want to jepodize with our main structure.

Yes I agree, bring back Mark Stevens...
On a realistic note, I think we need to try ANYTHING at this stage. We have nothing to lose now.

Possible as a 3rd tall but not as the main target, Stevens struggles when given KPP responsibility.

Give the man a cigar.

To me he is a more natural forward than defender. He leads for the ball, unlike most of our forwards, and his finishing is not bad. His stints in forward line have always been productive.

If Bassett was in any sort of form, I would say yes ... but given he isn't, I would drop Bassett to find some form & play Stevens as the 3rd tall backman.

Ive been saying it since the days he was playing at port maggies.
He would do more good for us as a floating forward than in defence.
Also Johnck should be up there to and let edwards take over in defence.
