Sheesh, we are playing some gutsy footy over the past 2 weeks. Two tight losses in the past fortnight to the most likely Grand Final participants. However, the facts are simple.
If Anthony Stevens was the there, we would've won both matches. No question. Sure, the absence of Mick, Kingy, and Colbert hurts, however, in a tight struggle it is always a Stevo smother, dive on a loose ball, courageous mark or crunching tackle that thwarts opposition forward thrusts inspiring teammates and helps us over the line. Stevo is a dead-set legend and it almost kills me to say "No Stevens, no Roos".
I think we can steal a finals berth, but without that marvel in a #10 guernsey, our chances are of ultimate success are nil.
