Admittedly I've only viewed this thread sporadically however I've noticed Essendon fans aren't that fussed he is or wants to leave, any of you disappointed he wants out? I always thought he was handy for you, could have nailed 10 against us last year if his radar was on.

I'm disappointed for sure. He's been our most consistent forward over the past few years. The others have all been regularly injured.

Not convinced about our forward structure going forward but pretty sure he could be a part of it.

Also he's come through our VFL and rookie list so it's been good to see him develop.

But the Dogs deal is well more than we could or should pay him, so that's how it goes.

I like the punt on Chappy - if you can get 12-15 games out of him it will be a massive win and an upgrade on Jetta and Davey. Also come finals time he will definitely be an ace you could be holding (if you make it and he is fit).

Gumby is no loss goals wise - Crameri is as its 30 plus goals you have to replace. I am not convinced 2014 is the year Daniher steps up and becomes a player - he looks like he will need a few more pre-seasons before leading your forward line. Hurley will stay forward if Gumby and Crameri leave. I don't see that as a positive as he looks like a great CHB and an average CHF.

You have a surplus of talls but these are you backmen - Carlisle, Hurley, Hooker, Fletcher, Pears.
Rucks - Ryder Belly
Fowrads - Daniher, Gumby, Crameri.

Pears and Crameri are not KPP but can play tall.

Ryder is clearly your best ruckmen but forced to play forward when Bellchambers plays. When Bellchambers was dropped Ryder's form went through the roof. He is a natural ruckman - like Hurley - being played out of position.

I would be looking at the back line to move players on before the forward line. It was dysfunctional this year and you are moving on your natural forwards.

FWIW I agree with the majority of your post.

Hurley goes back with Carlisle forward. I see/hope Carlisle plays as the main target.

Bomber mentioned a while back he wants Hurley back but Hird want Hurley forward, I get the feeling He will have the brains to put Hurley and Carlisle back in their natural positions.

I don't mind a forward line with

Chapman - Carlisle - Mid Rotations
Winderlich - Daniher - Bellchambers

Carlisle looks like he is going to become the one of the premier defenders for the next 10 years. He is like Taylor in that if a coach needs to try something they can swing him forward - but again I think his best position will be CHB. Maybe he will change my mind if Bomber gives him a good run in the forward line.

Will be interesting to see where Hurley and Carlilse start in round 1 2014.

Unless they switched places from last year and Hird is now the puppet master and Bomber the puppet???

Joking....

I just want people that cheated to be held accountable and if that is Crameri then so be it. Dogs can handle one ineligible player.

Sorry to go off topic, let's get back to how Crameri is meh and Essendon won't miss him yet they still want a first round draft pick cos the desperate Dogs are paying him ten times his worth cos the only reason he would ever leave the Bombers is for money and not the possibility he sees a better future elsewhere.

Got a laugh out of you equating him going to Bulldogs with them having a better future.

It's the money. Thats all.

I am saddened and embarrassed at just how far our club has fallen. Losing a player to Western Bulldogs is humiliating.

Lets put things back into perspective

Davey & Crameri playing in 2013
could become
Chapman & Daniher in 2014
so Crameri leaving opens a door for us to get Chapman, we can't play Daniher, Hurley/Carlisle, Bellchambers/Ryder and Crameri in the same side, so by Crameri leaving it leaves us enough cap space to pick up Chapman and opens the door for Daniher as Chapman will push out Davey.
My question to you is if you were a Essendon fan what combo would you rather?

Crameri is a very good footballer, right now though we just happen to have a nice group of KPP and Rucks coming through.
last season Monfries wanted out who was also our leading goal kicker for a few years and he is nearly statistically on output like Crameri.
By losing Monfries we still went forward as a club and I think by losing Crameri it will be a simular result.

Monfries out - Goddard & #48 in
Crameri out - Chapman & #22? maybe in

This superiority bullshit only makes you look like a w*nker.

While your here can you show me the quotes from Savage that states Carlton only?

No worries.

Hawthorn midfielder Shane Savage nominates Carlton as preferred new home

http://www.news.com.au/sport/afl/ha...eferred-new-home/story-fnfll94y-1226735533838

SHANE Savage wants to play for Carlton.

The disgruntled Hawthorn midfielder, who last week told the Hawks of his desire to be traded, is angling for a move to Visy Park.

But the Blues face competition for Savage from St Kilda, who are also interested in acquiring the 22-year-old.

Savage is contracted for another year so both clubs would have to work a trade to satisfy Hawthorn before they get their man.

It's believed Carlton is willing to part with the pick No.28 that it got from Richmond in the Shaun Hampson deal in order to get Savage.

While Savage is more interested in wearing navy blue than heading to Seaford, the Saints could yet pull the rug out from under Carlton with a superior pick or player offer.

I guess sometimes, like most recently, players don't always get what they want.

It's all about dat der trade, and some Bulldogs supporters just don't get that.

Crameri is worth more, we know it, they know it, so it's game on.

By continuously offering the #25, all the Doggies are doing is making other teams offer us more. That's all you're doing Doggies, that's all you're doing.

Thanks.

You want your future best forward? Then you better start paying up. We're willing to give you first priority to pay up since you're Crameri's preference, but time isa tickin'.

Tick, tock, tick, tock.

No worries.

The problem lies with trying to convince Crameri to go to another club.

That makes no sense at all. By your logic, Collingwood offering just Shaw for Adams is making other teams offer GWS more.

Unfortunately there have been plenty on both sides of the discussion....

Theres nothing wrong with being pissed at a club for taking your player, the game is emotional. I'm just sick this arrogance of we're a big club, all bow down to us shit. That mentality is why we've been stuck in the wilderness for a decade.

Personally prefer both Hurley and Carlisle as backmen. I think that's where they've both played their new footy.

Other issue is I don't think we've sorted the Daniher / Bellchambers / Ryder combo yet. And JD isn't really ready anyway.
