Arch or anyone else can u answer why was Dean Jones dropped by Australia when it appeared he was still a great player-I always admired the guy & looked out for his scores after AB made him stay out & piss his pants when he scored that 210 in India.We heard over here it was because he refused to tour one time(if that's true then no wonder you blokes r No1-you're bloody ruthless & that's not a criticism)

Thats the thing Gonz thats so frustrating about the bloke.
Its like he just turns it on when HE needs it, not when the side does. Early on i thought it was just one of those quirks, but season after season?

i cant say i agree with you there, remember that innings junior and langer put on in tassie, that was for the team, not for any personal reason or to keep him in the side.

Having seen Mark clonk the Windies around in the 1 day final, I suggest reports of his death are a little premature.

He's had a blinder of a summer, not the least of which is his catching. There is nothing better than a half chance grasped for turning a game ( cf. if the Windies had held their catches ... ) and Mark has excelled. He's right up there with the best slip fielders EVER so revell in the privilege of watching that. He's going to MURDER the Poms this year - he's seeing it like a footy.
