I find it hard to understand why people seem to think Ablett should've known what was going on? I've got mates who've smoked and grown 6 foot pot plants in their backyards for years and they've kept it a secret from their wives, kids and other family and friends who were against it. How hard would it be to hide it from fellow workmates who they don't even live with? One of my mates had a 10ft tree growing in his front yard (no fence) on Mount Tambourine.

I had a very close work colleague in a profession that demands preety intense application and work ethic
Never saw him do anything at work other than be super professional and do the right thing
I socialised a bit with him too
Didn't turn up to work one day
Had admitted himself to rehab for his coacaine habit

If the claims that the club is split between the drink squad and the god squad are true, with that number of men around the club, IMO it would be almost impossible to not hear something. This is not a normal work environment.

If Gaz doesn't know what he's supposed to be looking for he probably wouldn't see it. Hell, I knew what I was looking for but couldn't see anything as I was looking down. Couldn't see it until my mate said "look up" and here's a bloody tree right in front of me!!

Maybe it's not true. That "God Squad v Binge Boys" crap was sprouted by some DJ in Adelaide of all places and the media have just run with it to the extent many now believe it to be true.

good to see, saints have been through this crap aswell and its the supporters like yourselves that help the club move on by showing up every week.

in saying that give us some players :p:p

We already gave you one.

Bloody ungrateful melbournians

Just because Ablett is a leader on the field doesn't mean he's a leader off the field.

The ones who are leaders off-field are those who predominantly organise going out with team mates.

In any case, it's a media beat-up. This'll be unimportant once the team starts making Finals.

Agree parents often don't know what's happening with their own kids, how could Ablett know what every player is up to

I seriously hope Harley turns it around but I am sceptical, and part of me says if he doesn't then then cut him loose. At some point he needs to take responsibility for his actions

I want the club to stick with Harley. He is a match winner and just needs guidance. There is not one team in the AFL that wouldn't want to sign him if the Suns put him up for trade.

Tom Libba is in a very similar situation at the Doggies. Allegedly loves the grog and other substances, doing lots of bad things at the moment but no way the Dogs would ever cut him loose.

Corkie,

Sorry to intrude here, but I agree Harley has done too date the hard yards and deserves another chance - without a big brother/ role model giving him the wrong advice!!!!!!!! Marcus what were you thinking??????

The word from the Bulldogs is T. L. has no more chances left in the Land of the Pup - One more indiscretion that brings the Club or the games reputation in question and he is out on his Arse - No player is bigger than the game and what it represents.

Sorry for the off-topic post, but I was walking through the Morayfield shopping centre a few months ago and saw a dude in a Freo shirt/jacket (can't remember the specifics) and thought it was strange that someone was wearing Fremantle gear in QLD, let alone north of Brissy.

Either it was you, or there's more than 1 Freo fan in Caboolture :p

Time to go in for another speach

Thanks for finding this thread. It is a great time to Stick Fat.

A new sticking fat post? I just re-read my original post. Sadly, rinse and repeat. Just change the time stamp.

But I will be ready for a new one if we stink up the joint this week. Biggest home game in a long long time.

At this stage should we call this thread Stick Fat or Blind Faith?
