The plane has landed somewhere in SW China.

The Chinese have known all along but, China being China they don't want anyone to know and have been happy for the rest of the world to look for it and possibly give up when it can't be found.

The USA knew it went to China but didn't want the Chinese to know exactly how close and extensive their surveillance is so they too have been happy to sit back in the hope that China is somehow forced to come clean because one of those billion or so Chinese spots a huge ******* jumbo jet in their rice field. The USA have drip fed satellite info that shows the plane did change direction in the hope that it might refocus attention to where they know the plane is without giving away all that they know.

Russia are just shutting up because its taken the focus of the Ukraine somewhat so they're happy staying out of it.

The Malaysians just don't have the technical ability to deal with the whole situation and have been hamstrung by the likes of the USA and China not sharing information or giving them misinformation.

After a week, someone has cotttoned on and whoever was hiding info has been forced to come clean and the dealy in the press conference with the Malaysian PM is buying time to come up with an escape explanation, meanwhile an unnamed official leaks hijacking as a story to help condition everyone to whats coming

I made all that up so don't anyone take it seriously

I don't get it..... If it was hijacked why was no one on board able to send out a message to family or whatnot?

Would explain a lot though, and the pilots so called "tango" signal.
Again, would there be mobile service in the middle of the South China Sea where the plane was hijacked?

The next place which needs exposure is the potential of an inside job. Clearly, for all the technology and safety measures they have put in place, it is still all reliant on human intervention (embarrassingly so evidently) so for the past decade, training up and infiltrating the airline industry could have been the focus of various terror organisations.

Going of the last press conferences I could probably tells you all what will be said. It'll be like "no" " we don't know" or "we're looking into it"

Flight MH370: Malaysians convinced missing airliner was hijacked

Investigators are now convinced the missing Malaysia Airlines plane was hijacked by one or more people with significant flying experience, who switched off communications and diverted the flight, an official involved in the investigation said on Saturday.

So looks like it was a hijacking. I still think it has something to do with that Uighur who learned how to fly in Turkey.

I guess once it has 'officially' been confirmed that this was a hijacking (which i think it will today or tomorrow) the question would be if it was a successful hijacking or did the culprits manage to land the plane?
Im thinking if 'US Sources' are saying its at the bottom of the Indian Ocean then certain governments already know whats happened and that it was a failed hijacking.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
To get into the cockpit on certain planes is not that hard for a passenger to do.

I have sat in the first row of Virgin plenty of times, the girls have the door open a lot chatting up the pilots providing them refreshments. It is scary. I used to think to myself I could easily do it from my position.

There should be an almost zero tolerance for that door being opened during a flight. If it is opened there should be protocols put in place to ensure all passengers are seated with seat belts when it does happen.

Whoever's winning
But people in this thread have been saying that those suggesting it was hijacked are nutso, conspiracy theorists...
People in this thread suggesting it was hijacked were doing that on the basis of absolutely no evidence.

IF someone who has access to all the information comes out and officially says the plane was hijacked, it doesn't turn all the nutso conspiracy theorists into visionaries.

Yep. It's easy to be right with the benefit of hindsight.

Fact is, no one knows. It's all speculation. We're musing over snippets of information, which are seemingly contradictory.

As far as I'm concerned I will not rule out 'pilot suicide' and even then it should still be a hijacking because it would be a plane who was hijacked by a greedy as **** pilot who rather kill himself and end the lives of his passengers and crew compared to just offing himself like a selfish campaigner at his own house.
