Nah, all good. I fly a lot with
work. The drive to the airport is much more dangerous.
Exactly. The same people that worry about flying after an accident then go and drive down the monash freeway after a fatal accident. Go figure. If you are going to worry about being involved in an air crash you should also plan on winning lotto because it is more likely.

Safety check

During the press conference Malaysia Airlines was asked whether it was aware of a warning by the US officials about potential cracking that could compromise the safety of the Boeing 777.

In November the Federal Aviation Administration warned airlines to look out for corrosion under the skin of the fuselage.
The Daily Telegraph reported it warning:

We received a report of cracking and corrosion in the fuselage skin underneath the SATCOM antenna adapter . During a maintenance planning data inspection, one operator reported a 16-inch crack under the 3-bay SATCOM antenna adapter plate in the crown skin of the fuselage on an aeroplane that was 14 years old with approximately 14,000 total flight cycles.

Rahman was asked whether he had full confidence in the structural integrity of the missing Boeing 777 aircraft. He said: “From our records the aircraft when its flying is airworthy. It complies to all the directives.”

He confirmed that Malaysia had received the warning from the FAA about the Boeing’s fuselage.

Malaysia Airlines chief executive Ahmad Jauhari Yahyain added: “We ensure that all our aircraft are airworthy and comply with all the [circulars] issued by the manufacturers.”

He said he would check whether the missing plane was inspected for the known fault.

Think about the family who missed the flight. When I miss a flight i'm in a foul mood just imagine how you'd feel when you discover that flight has crashed. Can't even begin to comprehend it. Apparently there was one bloke who ran to the gate to get on PA 103 and begged the gate attendants to let him on but was told no. Staggering.

During today’s press conference Malaysia armed forces chief Zulkifeli Mohd Zin admitted that he was “baffled” by why the missing plane sent no distress signal.

He also confirmed that the military were not tracking the plane in real time. He said:

When we looked back at the recording. It proved there is a possibility that this aircraft made a turn back. But we are not sure if it is the same aircraft.
We did not track it in real time.

Zin said the raw data would be released once it had been corroborated.

I'm ruling out the wing being broken because of a previous problem, they say boeing had fixed it.

I'm not ruling out those Iranians.

I'm not ruling out it has landed somewhere by terrorists to be used at another time.

It could have been intended to be turned back by hijackers to hit the Malaysian Twin towers.

I'm ruling out the plane spontaneously combusted.

It could be in outer space.

I'm hoping terrorists landed it, hostages alive to be rescued.

Is it possible for terrorists to deactivate the black box and all other communications?

Well it definitely isn't in outer space. Those two Iranians are normal people by all accounts and were looking to migrate to Germany illegally. Hence why they used fake passports with their photo on it.

Terrorists could disable all of the transponders if they knew what they are doing I guess. If it was terrorism then surely there is top secret negotiations going on at the moment. I think the Malaysian Air Force would have shot it down if it flew back towards KL and was unresponsive.

Well after narrowing it down to 2 options (catastrophic failure or pilot suicide) I'm almost starting to think terrorism again. If the plane did have an issue with cabin pressure or anything else that required it to fly at a lower altitude, whyyyy wasn't this communicated? Flying low also avoids detection, which makes me wonder if something more sinister is going on. So in conclusion... I have no ******* idea what the **** is going on.

They have to work on finding the plane instead of talking for two hours a day to the media
How hard do you think the "officials" are working on finding the plane? It's the military and other volunteers who are actively searching out there, not politicians.

Now I know youre a tall skinny 30 year old...
Congrats on reading BB, brah.
