So what evidence do you want that BF posters could reasonably obtain?
It's a pretty easy argument to say "I want evidence" on an internet forum knowing full well the evidence is likely to be employee testimony and we'd be relying on media reports for any sense of what that testimony is.
I would call it a pretty easy copout. Why not ask for unicorn horns as well. Will Melbourne do an Adelaide?

Melbourne tanked. This is obvious and everyone knows.

However, this is not the question anymore. The question is - will the AFL do anything about it? If they punish Melbourne, they risk bad publicity and accusations from bookmakers. If they let Melbourne get away with it, they risk other clubs doing it again in future.

Personally, I think they should take a stand and punish Melbourne to stamp out tanking. However, image is more important to the AFL than reality, so I expect them to find enough grey areas and wriggle-room to let Melbourne get away with it.

Yeah I'm sure Melbourne will give up pick 4 just in case the AFL find something.
There are the smart crooks & the dumb crooks.

The smart ones know what they have done & when the coppers begin to investigate, plead out quickly to what they can afford to cop. Often the coppers are satisfied & walk away.

The dumb ones think they are ever so smart, that the pigs have got nufthik on them. They get done like a burnt chook.

We already know where the Melbourne posters fit in this grouping. Melbourne? We will find out.

You should also take into account that several charges have been laid in relation to Tippett/Adelaide. This was prior to Adelaide relinquishing draft picks. It would also be much easier to prove cap beaches. Adelaide basically admitting guilt and would like to start their sentence now.

The AFL tried to take a stand and stamp out salary cap breaches with Carlton. Clubs still did it. Tanking will be no different until the AFL removes the incentive.

Agree the evidence isn't readily available. But that doesn't appear to prevent hundreds of posts like this:
They're sure to lose next year's picks right?
And that's really the reason for MFC supporters asking for evidence before summary execution.

Hawthorn Clearly tanked to get Roughead Franklin etc, and should be stripped of the 2008 flag so that other clubs won't risk tanking to win a flag.

The cycle has to end sometime. Melbourne will finally get their comeuppance. A disgusting act carried out by one of the stragglers of the competition. The punishment will hurt and it will be sweet justice for every AFL supporter. Learn to embrace and love the idea of being punished....

And west coast will cop their comeuppance for their blantant and disgusting tanking of 2008 and 2010.

Funny how west coast somehow lost their last 6 games of 2010 after belting Essendon at Etihad.

Melbourne would be crazy to give up their draft pick! Rumour has it that Toumpas will fall to pick 4. What an exciting prospect! A talented wingman who can't win the contested ball at pick 4! What could possibly go wrong?!!?!
