Personally, I'd be happy with a one point win...

but I wouldn't mind if we belted them either !

The only thing better than beating Collingwood by ten goals is beating them by a point. :D

I must say I'd prefer to watch us win by 10 goals every day of the week. Close games are too emotional... Prob why I have never played AFL lol.
I am SO with you there Sir Rob! And by "close game" I read "any game where we're not up by 40 at 3/4 time"... and even then! I have seen us too often snatch defeat from the jaws of victory...

Just had a look at the injury list for this week and Maxy wasn't on there.
Only people who were:
Connors, Van Reehnan, Goosey - season
Attard - test
Ball 2-3.

But with all the smoke and mirrors out there we wont know untill the teams are released later on today then 100% game day.

They may name him and still not play him.

I honestly cannot believe how underrated Max is. I've just returned from the polls board where Max is coming LAST in a poll about the All-Australian back 6 including the likes of Birchall, Croad, Gilbee, Lake, Milburn, Enright etc. It is disgraceful! The man has only been beaten once this year for gods sake!!! No one else has beaten both Buddy and Fev! What is wrong with people?

Well rant over, but point being that Max would be probably our most important player, maybe second to Riewoldt. I'm a firm believer his absence played a big part in our dodgy performances the past two weeks. His inclusion would be a huge one, not just because we can lock in whoever he plays on (probably Medhurst) for a shite game but it gives our whole backline (maybe even team) a much better and coherent structure. Christ I hope he plays.

You are preaching to the converted. There are only two players that I really dread being out this year. Roo , and Max. Hayes and Ball are important and it would be terrible if both were out at the same time, but one out is not the end of the world ( I hope).
Fisher and Kosi also important.

Dude, look at the Saints' tackle count for this year, though:

1. Luke Ball, 107
2. Lenny Hayes, 104
3. Leigh Montagna, 60
4. Nick Dal Santo, 52
5. Sean Dempster, 42

YIKES! Knowing his game style, built on strength, stoppages, etc, if I was Lyon I'd be spewing if those two were out!

The same guy probably who thinks it's fun to CHANGE the darn team two seconds before the game sometimes!

Does some one at St Kilda think that it's clever to be the last ones to post the team each week?

It has certainly been noticed along with their dick!ng around with the injury list.

Armo not even in the emergencies despite second BOG for Casey last week? It seems Ross is convinced Armitage is not ready for senior footy.

Anyway a bad out but a VERY good in. Birss stiff again, but that goes without saying.

im verryy pleased with those teams because even thouhg we lose bally we gain one of our other most important players in maxy back and hopefully he can shutdown medhurst and leave them with not much. Im surprised over wellinghams dropping as from memory he played well last time against us? and i think hes a good player to exploit us with his pace but with him out with no shaws and didak we have no excuses. we must win this one now but dont underestimate the pies rookies as word from the forums is they are all in very good form.
