Not at the start - not in the middle - but, yes you get it at the end if we look like winning

Why? it's not a victory chant, it's not like we are singing the song. Pert had asked for the chant to be used at the start of the game and the players have said it gives them a lift to hear that level of noise and support. I have no idea why you would want to stop it.

Totally agree that it's not a victory chant. I'm sick to death of all of these negative people suggesting this is a victory chant!

How on earth can it be a victory chant in the first bloody quarter? Please engage your brain, think a little bit and stop being so negative. This is merely a show of support for the boys from all the faithful. Nothing more, nothing less.

The chant is awesome. At the Cats game was the best thing I ever heard and hearing it come through the TV on GF was awesome.

It would only be a benefit to the players imo.

It's alright to use it after we've kicked a few goals in a row, but not after every bloody goal...

At the soccer in England they use the same sorta chant consistantly pretty much across the course of the whole game. The good old Collingwood clap clap clap doesn't create the same amount of noise and doesn't spread as well as the slow chant.

The only thing that sounds stupid to me, is supporters who believe that we should only sing when we're winning! Even if we are 30 points down, who cares? The players can draw inspiration from it, and it can intimidate players from the other team.

Actually it was started on both occassions, just didnt get very loud, so obviously the majority didnt join in.

I think it "failed" a little last week, not because it was over used, but because of the real lack of supporters in the ground.

I'd say we had about 30K Collingwood supporters there last week, as this week it will probably be in the mid 40's, which is about what we get to a "normal" game anyway.

It will sound a lot better this week, and hey, it's another reason why people hate us, so I say keep doing it.

We are at the footy to enjoy ourselves as supporters, who cares if a chant "fails" every now and then.

The players have stated they enjoy it and that they feel it gives them a lift, the only embarrassing thing is you having a cry because you personally don't like the chant, if it bothers you so much don't watch the game. Your making a big deal over absolutely nothing, the fans and the players love it. So the only person with a problem is you.
