A fair few players on the way out (Hill, Turner (?), Friend, Webster off the top of my head), can they challenge again in 2007?

Who can they sign to replace Hill at the important 5/8 position?

I'll give a reply when I stop feeling physically sick Sylvia. There's light at the end of the tunnel, I just can't bear this feeling tearing at me from the inside ...

I predicted Melbourne to finish near the bottom this year after they lost Kearns, Orford etc, but what they have done is incredible. They should be able to cover their loses quite well. I agree with Inglis at 5/8. Any move that gives him more ball is beneficial to the Storm. They will be thereabouts next year for sure. I just hope they continue to bring more promising Queenslanders into their ranks. :thumbsu:

Gringlis at 5/8 could work.

1 - Slater
2 - Geyer
3 - King
4 - Quinn
5 - Turner (hopefully)
6 - Inglis
7 - Cronk
Turner is either playing for the Titans or not playing for the next three years.

I also don't see Inglis as a 5/8. Not to worry though, they'll probably unearth another QLD cup guy who'll fill in beautifully.

I doubt it seeing as they lost their main feeder club to S.Sydney.

But just signed up Central Coast RIP as their new feeder club ...

Remember the name of Israel Folau for the future ...

Israel Folau will be the next big thing (i.e. of Inglis quality) and will be a regular next year as an 18 yr old.

Samau will be a fringe player next year IMO.

And Mick Crocker will play like a man possessed next season.

If Turner is not allowed to play for Storm next year, I fully support the club taking it to the highest court in the land. The only club to submiit a player contract to the NRL was Melbourne, and Turner should be staying put.

= Essendon Bombers in 2000

The pain should hurt just as much and the Storm should have but one goal in mind, to right the wrongs of 2006. The regular season is meaningless next year, the Storm need to destroy the opposition in the finals to guarantee the premiership. Just like Essendon did.

There is a cast of thousands on the Central Coast who will be excellent players. The place breathes rugby league. Danny Williams is an ex-Storm and Central Coast player. Apparently he throws a decent punch too. :D

Michael Bond is another option to play 5/8, recruited from the Broncos. I doubt Inglis will play there at all next year. Fingers crossed he gets the full back jersey full-time, but more than likely he'll be on the opposite centre to Kingy.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Bellamy introduce a duel full back game plan in 07. Both Slater & Inglis playing on the last line. What a headache for opposition teams.

Bomb it left? Nope Inglis is there. Bomb it to the right? Nah Slater has that side covered. May as well have a crack down the middle.:D
