My girlfriend was doing prac at King Edward Memorial.
Apparently it was owned. Being in Subi, it would've been.

She got on a bus, got off, walked to catch another one, almost crushed by a tree.

My aunty's $50,000 Honda in Kardinya got owned by the hail. Dented like mad.

Where I am, I got off pretty easily. My car got a wash, which it desperately needed. Power flickered and the phones played up, but aside from that just a lot of rain, thunder and lightning.. At one point it was loud enough to shake our windows.

Was at Princess Margaret hospital today getting my 15 month olds Xrays done and going home I drove back down Winthrop Ave towards UWA when I went over a reasonably large mound of sand which came from a river like chasm carved out of Kings Park. Scared the shit outta me.

Anyway, I had a mid-thigh deep lake right out the front of my house (Thornlie) last night. Stranded, couldnt drive anywhere as the driveway was a boat slipway. Kids and dogs were playing in it, 4wd owners were testing out their river crossing skills in it, People were taking photos of it....it looked like some water playground right out the front.
House only had minor leaks which was good, garage was flooded though.

Apparantly he got hit by lightning (well his harness did). I call bullshit. The guy loves himself so much he would say anything to get in the paper. Next he will have Princess Diana up in his tree for breakfast. Tosser

My dogs kennel flew about 15m in the air before smashing itself on my fence. Thats the worst we got. A bit of water aswell but no hail.

LOL @ UWA architecture building getting pwned. The ultimate irony that

Anyone else a fan of irony? ;)

Was standing in the carport joking with the brothers, then i saw the bright flash...before my mind had time to process what to do i heard the deafening crack of lightning. Was 10 metres away split the tree. My legs were shaking for a good ten minutes and my heart racing.

Being at the bottom of the street we were flooded for about an hour, cleared the drains inbetween downpours and all flooding was gone in 2 hours. Wind lifted tiles, water in a few places, no extreme roof damage, power out for 16 hours and only just got our 2 power circuits dried out this afternoon.

Pretty epic but i've been in worse.

I was flying in Monday night, had a pretty speccy view of the storm from about an hour out. Lucky enough to get straight in and out of the airport too, which sounds like it was the exception rather than the rule.

Some water got in at home, right where the computer is, but no damage. No power overnight but no major dramas. People a couple of houses up from me are still without power now.
