Very much so Burntchook. Is going out straight sets the most embarrassing thing in football?
It's something Adelaide will have to live with for a few seasons to come. My bet is they will plummet next year, they completely sabotaged themselves and it was the most predictable result in finals history. Finishing on top with two home finals and they were never a chance in either game. Wow, what a catastrophe!

The Crows were one of the most dominant teams in any of those years. I'd argue St Kilda were the last dominant team to bow out.Finishing 9th is the most embarrassing. Wooden spoon is embarrassing but at least the clubs usually spin they’re rebuilding and get a good draft pick. 9th suggests you were trying to compete but couldn’t make the cut to even compete and don’t even get the consolation of a good pick.
Straight sets is a wasted opportunity for sure, but not sure not taking that opportunity can be seen as worse than not even getting an opportunity to waste. Victims of own success I guess.
Since the pre finals bye was brought in, 50% of top 4 teams have gone out in straight sets (almost one per year) so it’s super common.
Certainly gives a different perspective on what might have gone wrong on that “camp”.With Adelaide players and Adelaide supporters hating gay people so much, they would be happy that the sets they went out in were straight.
Rent free living is better.Supporting Carlton is worse
