Strike by Local Umpires

Whats the go with the Umpires strike in the local league in the Footscray area?
They say that the AFL are at it and want the association gone
Since they have put their guy in the numbers have dropped
WTF????
Control at all costs. Will they be supported?

Well at least they haven't been hit in the head with a rock like an RL ref at a junior game was a few weeks ago.

Mike Dean was hit in the head with a coin at a Coca Cola Championship match earlier in the year.

Basically the umpires and the league don't see eye to eye on many things.
The league have had a chance to do something about the issues but have failed.
The issues are rather large and are discussed on another forum.
Football is the big loser in this dispute I'm afraid.
