Why would he choose the Bummers. I agree he wants more money, but would you choose McDonald Tipper, Greene, Fantasia, Stewart, Hooker and Daniher with Goddard Heppell and Merrett hitting you up ahead of Ablett, Smith, Menzel, Hawkins, McCarthy, with Selwood, Danger and Duncan hitting you up.Ablett for 1 year. I think Stringer is going to the Bummers

Except Stringer was literally gifted games last season in their premiership year due to indifferent form. He hs been drifting for some timeProblem at the bullies is he was the forward leader too early. Win a premiership and go to putty after celebrating too heavily. Hawks did the same in 2009.
If anyone can straighten him out it is far more leaders up forward to put him in his place and give him perspective. Hanging him out to dry to early. Needs to be shown a thing or two about bigheadedness. I think Hawkins, Taylor, Menzel, Ablett, Selwood, Danger, and Scarlett and Scott would sort him out pretty quickly regarding dedication and Making the most of a very small window before it is too late.
Don't hang the boy for being a dickhead at 23, I'm sure a lot of you were too.
He's a very fine talent who needs the right people to show him how important that can be if you put the group before your own parade.
For pete's sake
Ablett Hawk McCarthy
Smith Stringer Menzel
With Parfitt Parsons Gregson maybe Lang (if not traded) to go through there looks pretty fine to me.
A little more mobile than what we currently have IMHO

I remember they were kind of grateful for any form he showed. They dropped him to get some form, but as I remember, his inclusion was more based on hope. He did a few good things in the finals. Didn't set the world on fire at any stage, thoughNot quite, he was dropped before the finals remember.
No argument but he is very talented and young. As we're crying out for a second key forward, a new club might just freshen him back to peak. At his best he's brilliantExcept Stringer was literally gifted games last season in their premiership year due to indifferent form. He hs been drifting for some time

Except he kicked 42 goals despite carrying a severe shoulder injury for the second half of the season. More than anyone else at Geelong outside of hawkins..............but carry on with the "stringer sucked in 2016" narrative.
Menzel just got 38 as the third tall with 15 games and he got dropped.Except he kicked 42 goals despite carrying a severe shoulder injury for the second half of the season. More than anyone else at Geelong outside of hawkins..............but carry on with the "stringer sucked in 2016" narrative.
How serious is the Crameri rumour, wouldn't think they would want both would they?Ablett for 1 year. I think Stringer is going to the Bummers
makes senseAblett. One year of ablett at 90% playing in the forward fifty with danger and selwood in the mids is more likely to get us the cup than smith or stringer(who are both better long term options). I understand the risk involved with older players, but you could tolerate a small drop in abletts output-it would still be better than smith or stringers in the short term. Also, ablett is still probably more durable than stringer. This is very much a short term solution, but we are not aiming for a premiership in 5 years, we are set up for now, so i think ablett probably suits our current position better than stringer. ideally get em all. make hawthorn pay for em somehow.
A fully fit and motivated Stringer kicked 50+ goals as a 21 year old... Easily prefer him could be a legitimate superstar with a bit of mentoring and a fresh start.
