Trengove > bulldogs
Stringer > cats
Motlop > power
With some minor draft picks being exchanged.
Trade/delist : Murdoch, GHS, ruggles, thurlow, Cowan, gregson, Stanley.
Don't b scared to put Hawkins on the trade table. U have buzza coming through who needs games & is aggressive & competitive unlike Hawkins. Even blitz on the trade table for a smith, not as useful now there is no 3rd man up.

So dogs lose a 23 year old All Australian for a free agent that's agreed to come to the club anyway. Brilliant.

You didn't lose him...you discarded him. And now you want to dictate terms for doing so.

I think you will be disappointed.

Do you understand free agency? A 1 pick upgrade on our 4th rounder is of more value to us in a trade than Trengove.

I agree a FA like Trengove will be separate to a Stringer trade but you equally won't get as much for Stringer as you want you will be slightly disappointed.

Stringer is contracted. So yes we can dictate the terms. We get the deal we want or or he stays if what they tell us is true.

I'm not sure what you guys can really give us to get that deal done? Your draft pick looks too high for it to be deal we'd go for? Unless you can throw in a decent player to top it off? I keep hearing Menzal.....I don't think that gets it done.

More chance he goes to another club and I think the competition between clubs will work in our favor. Or if there is not enough interest and the offers don't respect what he capable of, then that sends a message to Stringer what they think of him. If you want him, give us a really good deal. I think ball is well within our court here.

I guess time will tell.

I think you are right we can only offer this years 1st rd and 2nd rd pick for Stringer, he's just not worth more than that so Essendon will be the doggies preferred trading partner, we are more likely to look at Dalhaus who value is around a 2rd pick only...

Neither. Use draft picks. Keep the players we already have. Although happy to trade blicavs or scott selwood. We dont need both of them.
will be more likely to trade C Guthrie and Blitz, we wont trade selwood due to the captain...

Unfortunately if he nominates Geelong and only Geelong you are fairly stuck contract or not. He can't realistically stay unless the coach goes.

That said Geelong are fair traders and will still offer you something good as a deal.

errr the club told his management he was on the trade table. Being contracted doesn't seem to hold that much weight from I've seen the last few years.

This is not the draft to pursue that strategy in. And those two wont get traded.

Stringer will either be pick 20 or our 2018 1st plus a fringe player in either case.

Dahlhaus is FA next year i cant see us trading hard for him now.

Still want to keep Hawkins?
Yes.

Given no chance whatsoever by the delivery last night.

Our two other marking forwards (Stanley and Menzel) had a combined total of twenty touches for two behinds.

Babies and bathwater.

Ah yes, the BigFooty wheel of trading:

Fan 1: YOU WILL PAY US BIGTIME OR HE'LL STAY
Fan 2: YOU MUST LET HIM LEAVE AND HE'LL ONLY GO TO US SO WE WON'T PAY YOU BIGTIME
*ad infinitum until deal actually done*

Agree you guys trade well. What do you think "something good" might look like?

God only knows but I suspect that the p20 that we have from Carlton (also our highest pick in the draft) is probably just the shy end of reasonable. I think Stringer's probably worth somewhere between 15 to 20, but his value will have taken a hit in the last week or so as well.

I'd say pick 20 and a fringe player who may develop....Dogs don't want him that's clear.....which sends a message to be very careful if you take him.

Love the use of the word "fair" in that context. Other clubs have rubbed their hands together when they've seen Balme and/or Hocking and/or Wells walk through the door. Fair as in easy I'd suggest.

I agree in what you say, 2 years ago he was a All Australian, nut his last 2 years his been injured, dropped to the VFL and you guys want a pick thats very high?? come on serious pick 20 would be ideal or close to it. Not our fault his form hasn't been the best. I think you guys are going by Potential but thats a big word, I'm not having a go at you guys as i like the Dogs but his form the last 2 years haven't been great so i can't see how you think his worth heaps as both parties ( Stringer/Dogs) it be best to depart so you can't ask for heaps. #justsaying :p
