Eagles have better depth than the Lions did. As said before the Lion's top 4 were better than our top 4, but our depth is better and also killed their midfield head-to-head on sever occasions. Plus we have four players in the top 6 Brownlow odds. Did Brisbane ever do that? ;)

At their peak? Probably!

Where you getting your odds from btw out of curiosity?

The eagles have a better midfield.

Cousins, judd, kerr and cox would be our fab 4. I think the eagles have everything the lions had except some more pace and this is what sets them apart, brisbane were a better team but eagles have the complete midfield.

West coast midfield. Not only now, but also because there midfield always outclassed brisbane even in their premiership years. I remember seeing the west coast midfield giving out some good thrashings to them back then!!

At the risk of sounding biased, I tend to agree. I think our midfield was pretty close to Brisbanes' level during their glory years, and not just because of the head to head record. But that's all we had at the time, a great midfield. Very poor defence and attack.

I think our mids have now fairly comfortably eclipsed Brisbanes' of '03. But perhaps Glass aside, we don't come even remotely close to the class they possessed in the KPP department.
