Stuart Clark - Does he understand the difference?

Geez the reasons as to why Tait was picked ahead of Clark were all over media headlines, if it can't be understood then you must be pretty thick. Flat tracks in WI, scuff up the ball make it reverse. Tait is lethal with his 155-160km/hr balls, throw in reverse it is very hard to hit it. He does more than Clark will offer with his 130-135km/hr stuff line and length. Easy to pick off on a muddy flat track. Gun test bowler but he really lacks nous of where to bowl it and when to bowl certain types of deliveries.

Tait is bordering on the most unique bowler in world cricket.

Add to that Johnson is a left armer.

Stuart Clark's got a pretty unique action as well. Very different to Mcgrath

Its got slight differences, but when compared to Taits, its very run of the mill.

Yes, but with Clark every ball is a hit me ball.

I'm just trying to balance up the argument that Clark didn't get picked because he is too similar to Mcgrath. I don't think that is a legitimate reason. If that is the reason, then you could say the same thing about Tait with Johnson and Lee.

It isn't the reason, far from it. In ODI's hes far from a McGrath clone. Glenn mixes it up, Clark doesn't. Also the difference in quality of McGraths death bowling compared to Clarks is huge.

The Location doesn't help his cause either. Won't get any assistance from the wicket and TBH he relies on that heavily. Also as mentioned somewhere earlier the Pitches will be abrasive and scuff up the ball, aiding reverse swing, which Tait is a master of.

Tait is also a far better death option.

He was dropped for a sustained period of poor ODI form.

If test form was in any way relevant he wouldn't have been dropped in the first place.

He proceeds to get dropped FAILS in the ODD game against WA, then dominates the Pura Cup game against them and all of a sudden he should be back in the team and a certainty for the World Cup 15.
And thats exactly why they didnt pick him for the world cup. Coz he domintated in the pura cup game and not the one dayer.
Explains itself really.

Since the start of the Champions Trophy Clarks Economy Rate is 6.17. I don't give a damn how good you are in Test Cricket, that's simply not good enough.

Yep, economy more importannt than avergage in ODI's, because you do not need to bowl a team out to win. :)

Stu blue as Shaun rises

as the main headline. Sook. Test form doesnt make you a one day certainty.

Anybody see sunrise this morning, one of their main stories was Clarks non selection, Koch was winging and wining rolling off all these stats, funnily enough, not one OD performance to mention of.
Then the most pathetic thing of all was during the news part when they were showing it, they had image of Clark taking wickets for NSW, and showed Tait bowling a wide.
********ing disgraceful reporting which is supposed to be impartial:thumbsd:

WTF would Koch know?
Clark is a poor ODI bowler. However our idiotic media seems to have NFI that Tests and ODI's aren't related.

Stick to growing your hair Kochy.... Oh.

Seriously wtf would these idiots know.
