Run Forrest run!

Read he's only 28. That's young to pack playing in - the hamstrings are suffering a bit by the sounds.

From the tiser.

STUART Cochrane will join Port Adelaide's football department as an assistant and runner next month which has prompted him to retire as a player at Central District. The former Kangaroos and Power midfielder announced on Saturday that he had accepted the full-time position.

Cochrane, 28, was hampered by persistent hamstring strains last season but he would have continued at Elizabeth if not for the chance to rejoin the AFL.

Well I'm relieved. Looks like his responsibility is to run with the young guys at training, and to run messages on game day. I think he is more than suitably qualified to do both.

Its that unique blend of pace and endurance that comes to the fore.

Have you read something other than the linked article Porthos? It says here that he will be an assistant and it's a full time position.

I wish him luck with his AFL ambitions but he and Kingley on staff seems odd to me.

`Assistant' can mean a lot of things though. If he's a runner, then he won't be in the box, will he?

Interpreting the media release on the Port website he will be an assistant to Sanderson.

PS, why do people keep reposting the linked articles?
