Melbourne will struggle for a few years yet.... all on the back of the list manager that we have now given more power to than the bloke who has rebuilt our list to a side that is knocking on the door to consistent finals....

yeah but think of what cameron had to work with...
he had no footy department cos the they had no money to pay for one and the youngsters he has brought in now look like they could take them off the bottom...
think of buckley mcglynn, warnock, bate, jones, dunn, newton garland morton bartram amongst others...
they just have old timers hanging around for the pensioners payment....
get rid of (some are gone), neitz white holland yze robertson carrol whelan weatley...

if we cold get cameron to get us awsome long term players with pick 8 and and our next one and then use the higher picks to get more decent players with even an older player in the mix we should be right....
\as much as i hate lets follow hawthorn....
no one no's who there list manager i cos we don't here about him....

And you think TW and Miller had a huge football department????? Francis Jackson was part time up until last year...

They had Plenty of money to pay those ageing hacks you mentioned... paying 100% of the salary cap. He was the list manager FFS... it was his job to stop this sought of thing happening...

Long term players with pick 8.... yes. Draft kids and spend money on player development. Which is EXACTLY WHAT WE HAVE BEEN DOING THE LAST ****ING 4 YEARS.
 
nut i think we are on the same track, terry has got us here and if he beleives that he needs to dip into a gun or two it is his plan we are followin,g i think you are right about CC he recrutied players for melbourne and got diddly squat, to compare him to our prefered candidate of chris pelchen is a slander on pelchen, and it is the coaches job to produce a winning side and the football managers role to give the coach the tools(players) to achieve this.only the coaching staff know what is required in playing personell

yeah and if wallace belives that that is what we need it shuold be done.....we are happy to hanging him out to dry for not picking roughead or franklina nd now we are saying dont pick what you want..

with hindsight it is easy to say he ****ed up with franklin and roughhead, but at the time everyone including hawthorn wanted bling, go back in the archives and see.

he wants kerr/cousins/meathead....he neleives that will deliver the ultimate prize, tje football recruitment/manager etc have to do everything in their power to fullfill his needs.

Terry is a proffesional coach who wants to achieve, if he doesnt he is the one commiting proffesional suicide. If we fail who do you think will get the arse first? Terry or CC or Garry March???????

Give the man the tools to do the job. If terry wants Kerr and the manager can make it happen the it should happen.

It can not be left to the football manager who is after all a high paid administrator and not a coach

I agree TW deserves the power over the list. I dont agree with trading picks for players at this stage.

What a ridiculous post. So what is your solution, exempt them from tackling? Wallace didn't inherit all skinny ribbed kids, there were plenty of men refusing to tackle-refer Bowden and pettifer who got dropped for that very reason. Wallace just never enforced it or made it a priority.

It is their by the way.

He dropped them after the collingwood game( pettifer was suspended but didn't get back in) as I said in my original post- READ IT.

I said it took Wallace till after the collingwood game to realise it was important.

Incorrect -Wallace is all about recruiting the players that best mould the side.

It's all about fast running, long kicking and an exciting brand of football that constantly evolves. This make TW cutting edge, and keeps all the other coaches guessing.

Well done to TW and his team for pushing the boundaries and being truly revolutionary, setting the standard that all other coaches and clubs aspire towards :thumbsu:
