I'm sure this would have been sticking out like a sore thumb to Josh Carr, he knows to mix it with the big bogs we have to have bigger fitter bodies.

Assuming he is allowed by the love bosses he will no doubt have a replacement fitness guy in mind, he knows it is an important part of his plan to become successful.
And maybe shift our training facilities to Bolivar.

I'd be looking at bringing in a multifaceted team for HP. I'd be asking if any of the NRL fitness coaches would be keen to come across, I'd be looking at some MMA/freestyle wrestling coaches. Conditioning, muscle mass and injury prevention would improve tenfold. We can't be relying on cardio bunnies who have a fear of weights to get the guys into fighting shape.

I had heard that Tim Parham would be taking over, albeit with a different title and we would be backfilling a role under him.
The best candidate was right under our noses again! God we're lucky.

I agree the optics on this one look like Bitcho promotion 2.0. But Parham was at the Crows when they went from bottom feeding weak minnows to actually resembling a football team capable of sticking/breaking a tackle and running out games which is more than what our team as a collective can do.

2.0? More like 4.0. Pretty sure we went from Burgess to his understudy McKeown to McKeown's understudy Graham now to Graham's understudy Parham.

It's like the Ming Dynasty, but terrible.

Parham's career path has followed Burgess more than anything.
I listened to an older podcast this morning and he was initially at Sturt, before moving to GWS and then being head hunted by Burgess to come back to Port with him.

Then went to Arsenal with Darren before returning back to Australia with the Crows, again linking up with DB the following year.

Internal promotions are awful, but his resume as DB's protƩgƩ looks impressive and anything is a step in the right direction when moving away from Graham

Maybe I'm tainted by my previous interactions with Burgess, but this just makes it worse IMO.

I have a military background, an MMA and judo background, played a high standard of rugby union and league and have education qualifications and experience.

in the 'dark days' I offered to help out for free and offered the then world class contacts I had to the club for this type of conditioning.

Got totally ignored.
