We had laptops from yr7 at school, internet connections in every class room, you could do plenty of internet surfing during classes!

Some classes the teachers wouldnt let you connect to the net because you didnt need it for that lesson but otherwise it was good.

I never got in trouble with the teachers but did get caught with a gay pr0n video by class mates when we had the ability to go through the files of other students connected to the network...

Sim City the original for me.

View attachment 377755

We had a slew of apple games - Carmen San Diego, random maths and card games (starring a mascot that looked like tvs fat cat). There was one where you had to find a key to rescue a bird from a cage, another escaping a wicked witches house.

Used the typing program to type my own version of the second TMNT movie! Could only type 5 pages in those days.

We got newer Apple computers that had Sim City and a built in microphone. My school was one that was closed down by old mate Jeff. We merged with another school down the road, they took out computers there. They had Sim City on pc.... it looked crap compared to the Apple version. Although I played the Sim City for Windows version years later and it was better. My preference was the Amiga version.

In high school people hijacked the network to play Doom, Doom 2, Quake and Duke 3D. That was fun until the school blocked them as well as the default games like ski free.

Years later hijacking uni pcs to play cod, moh and c&c generals!

Late 80s, everyone in school had a Coca Cola yoyo... either red or green.

They were just simple yoyos, they didn't even light up or anything, but it was such a fad at the time.... like that Simpsons episode.

Anybody else's school ban marbles?

From memory I think there was a ban as it was causing too many fights over kids taking other kids marbles.

It wasn't much of a problem for me as I hardly ever had any marbles worth taking.

looking up the girls skirts, not like in a creepy way, but when they carelessly sat with legs not quite close enough ....
There is a non-creepy way?
