Stupid bets and lost.

Jokingly said to the wife 2 weeks ago that i would retire from footy if Tigers recruited Ben Cousins (she feels at 35 years of age i should stop). Things were looking ok for me 48 hours ago.....Anyone else done something as stupid?

Got on the piss in a big way at the pub in 2007, in Perth with a group of mates, all of whom love to give me shit about being a Tigers fan. One of them claimed, arrogantly, that we would win the spoon that year. I rose to the bait and bet about 6 cartons that we wouldn't. Needless to say, the following day we got smacked by 150 odd points by the Cats,starting the big decline. I had to pay up big time come rd 22.

Holidaying in Bali back at the end of 2005 I made a bet with a Carlton supporter that Richmond would finish higher than Carlton on the ladder by 2007.
That year Carlton finished 15th, Richmond 16th by 2 points thanks to a Draw. REALLY awesome.

Hahahahaha...Everytime I tip Richmond to win, they lose. That's why I have ceased betting on Richmond.

Last year I tipped Richmond in every game and came in the top 100 for footytips.com which has something like 200,000 tippers. If only I hadn't been so loyal to my club, I would've won the whole thing hands down. Needless to say this year I didn't tip Richmond at all, which didn't really do me any good anyway because we won nearly half our games.
