Was coming home today from Church when I saw Magpie attacking a baby Koala with a cub! I chucked pepsi cans at the Magpies so they started attacking me I ended up shooing them away but the poor Koala was injured! :( I took it to te council and he said he just needs a warm bed for tonight so we took him in and we're gonna let him in a tree early in the morning! :)

Damn Magpies, they are a blight on the earth, only j/k. but they are very nasty around nesting season, hope the Koalas are OK, also if you people complain about being attacked by Maggies be carefuel, quite a while ago in Melb, one swooped me & actually drew blood, I rang the ranger & he came out & shot it.
Said the ones that actually attack are rogues & have to be killed:mad: sorry that is nature they defend their nests.

Only male magpies swoop. The reason is because while the female is in the nest, the Male gets bored as it can't do anything and decides to swoop people to keep itself happy. Magpies are dangerous and should be killed. I almost killed one once. It ran into my hand. I was riding my bike, it swooped and i put my hand in the air and the stupid thing went straight into it.

All magpies should be killed.

Yeah, I've been encircled by a group of aggressive Maggies once, they were scary!

At the Cricketer's Arms before the International Rules match... ;)

I nearly pranged my car trying to run over a magpie not long ago.

I agree - they should all be taken out - bloody things!

Aren't they a protected species? God knows why, they are pests.

Anyways, I was attacked by a maggie just last week playing golf.
First tee, I'm walking down the fairway and swoosh! this bastard takes a chunk out of my ear! **** it, I thought, it's the first hole, I've just paid my money, no pesky maggie is gonna stop me from playing golf. So i wrapped my golf towel around my head and carried on. What a sight, i looke like mcenroe in his bandanna days.

I was ready for him this week when i played though. Had my golf umbrella ready to nail the bugger. Sure enough, first tee, down he comes. But bang, i nailed him with my brolly. He's stunned momentarily, lying on the grass, squawking. just as i am about to finish him off he regains composure and off he flies.

next week (if nesting season is still on) he's mine for sure....

This pisses me off. Big bunch of heroes going after a bird trying to protect it's young. Remember kiddies they're just like those scary poofters you worry about so much. If you turn your back to them, they'll attack you. The trick is, if you know they're around, just keep an eye on them and they won't swoop.
I know a lot of this has been light hearted, but throwing cans at a bird is real big guy stuff. Personally I think Koalas are vermin in most areas they inhabit. Cuddly little bear like creatures? I think not!! More like leaf stripping, tree killing, venereal disease carrying, habitat destroying, biodiversity ruining, piss soaked, bad tempered little bastards.

Hmm, just like feral magpie supporters.;) Maybe you should have thrown the can at the Koala.
