I think everyone is missing the mark. Our subs might get a lot of possessions when they come on but it's the non statistical possessions that they are not getting that the club is worried about and it is the main reason why they can't cement their spot on the first 21.

Having 22-25 AFL quality players does not make you a top four side.

By depth I mean guys that can contribute at AFL level, but probably not dominate it.

That is our issue.

In other words we have a lot of average AFL quality footballers.

In other words we don't have depth

Presumably our Player #21 is better than our Player #22.

Unless the theory is that all the other clubs have squads that run only 21 quality players deep then fall off a cliff.
