Am I the only person who likes the sub rule? :p

I would also like to know why. What is the benefit of the sub rule? How does it improve the game as entertainment, or game strategy? Seems to be mostly negatives.

I think the sub works best when you have a pacy aerobic outside running machine who comes on when the opposition are running out of gas... someone on the fringes of selection.. Freeman would have been perfect. Martin would be a good sub too. Kennedy should become a good option too.
As the game moves into the 3rd quarter its always those cheeky players who seem to find space up forward to kick or set up goals. Hard to do in the first half when players still have plenty of legs. Martin my pick as number 1 cheeky bugger

I don't think anyone, other than KB, like the sub rule. If it is here to stay we need to be developing a way of exploiting it to our advantage.

I still maintain we back ourselves in and use superstars as subs a la soccer.

We have the midfield depth to be able to afford to use a Dane Swan or Beams or Pendles or someone like that as the sub.

I hate the bloody rule.
Why have a Sub AND a cap on interchange.
Wasn't the Sub rule bought in to slow down the play when the rotations were sky rocketing towards 150 interchanges?

But just for this thread, if we had to pick one guy to be our Super Sub who is able to come on and influence a game, then I believe Fasolo would probably be our best Sub player.
Can play down back, go through the guts or impact up forward.
But I also want the guy in our starting 21.
