He's taken Heath Black's spot as the little aggro left-footer, though he's not as much of a headcase as Black.

He did manage to give away a goal after that tussle with LeCras, but I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt on that one because the umps found a way to give the eagles a shot on goal every time they got it inside their 50.

Mundy was serviceable , had the most clangers on the team but for the most part played his role. Didn't really notice him too much.

I would have given the medal to Suban, Barlow or maybe Griffin.

You take Mundy out of the team and replace him with Priddis and I don't really see any difference to our team. Mundy had some influence on the game no doubt, but he's paid an elite midfielders wage. Was he up to the standard of Sam Mitchel, Gary Ablet or Jobe Watson? No. He played his part and wasn't bad. He was caught lazy on the defensive end a couple times and had 4 clangers.

Suban on the other hand actually kicked goals (these win you games) and kicked rather well I thought, combined with hardness at the contest. I'm not dissing Mundy's game because he was ok, but I'm not sure why people are playing it up to be more than it was.

Well he can kick it twice as long as Priddis to start. And with some accuracy.

A firing Suban is going to be a huge boost to our midfield. He can be really damaging as he showed on the weekend - a goal kicking, aggressive mid to complement Pearce and Hill. If he keeps it up, that will be a nightmare for teams to contend with.

The great thing about Suban is that he is hard at it and can play inside as well as outside. Although that is something that Ross seems to instill in everyone (Pearce and Hill also).

I just watched the replay and I have no effin' idea what Suban did to give away a free to LeCras inside 50 amidst that tussle. They were both jumper punching each other and I couldn't see anything wrong from the replay of it.

I just finished watching the game on IQ and Priddis was awful. He played a part in each of our first three goals and went at 39% DE despite most of them being short handballs. Most Eagle supporters would give their left nut in a Priddis for Mundy deal.

Great game from Suban. I will say that it is only the one game. I want to see him string 3 games together, and play well when we are not going well. For his entire career he has rarely played a half decent game out of Perth, and never shown consistency.

Not here to bash, but both him and Ibbotson have the ability to be great players but for some reason they just go missing in far too many matches. Sometimes they give these performances and you think, wow. Other times they get omitted and it is completely justified.

That goal he kicked from the pocket never seemed in doubt. You can't teach that! He just oozed the confidence, and slotted it. I saw more determination and leadership from Suban in that match than I have seen throughout his career, but as I say, unless he can back it up next week then I will have him out of the team, because without consistency, we are going nowhere.

I think Lyon would have realised it fairly early on, but his hands were tied a little until Suban dropped the kgs and got himself into midfielder shape.

Except that Priddis can't kick, and Mundy is amongst our better kicks?

Don't ever remember Priddis pulling the ball out of a ball up, sidestepping his way out and running forward to drive a lovely, inside 50 to the advantage of a leading forward. Remember Mundy doing this twice in five minutes in the final against Adelaide last year.

Was surprised to read Suban's disposal efficiency. 89% on the weekend, with a lot of kicks and wasn't playing in the backline.

That is spectacular use of the ball.

Suban was carrying injures for most of last year that's why he was used as a sub .
What a sub as well , when he came on he had instant impact on the game with goals and through the midfield or don't you guys remember.

One of his jumper punches away from where the camera could see it got LeCras the tiniest fraction on the chin. Subes will learn from this and you need to be aggresive he always seems to play his best footy when he is fired up (and fit). Have always loved his courage and agrression seems to have the motor to get to more contests now and def. better played outside our defensive 50.
