Has improved his stamina out of sight ,previous pre seasons he was always with the stragglers in the runs, this pre was always with the leaders so much that he was running with the guns in Crowley,Menegola etc.Hats of to him and he deserves the fruits of his hard work

One smart thing Sheahan said last night was acknowledgement that Suban was a very highly rated junior in Vic (implying that he wasn't surprised at the 'break-out' evident now).

If Subes had have been from any other state Sheahan wouldn't have known anything about him.

Nic looks like he is relishing playing in his best position.
After his finish to last season where , as the sub, he came on and had an impact in games it is almost certain Ross took him aside and told him precisely, change your body shape through hard work and you can be an integral part of our attacking gameplan.

The conversation between Coach and player may have gone along the lines of; Nic we have secured Danyle Pearce and with Stephen Hill and yourself along with Mick, David and Nat, we'll give next season a red hot go.
You can either go status quo or hear the call we're making. Enjoy your break Nic.

Suban was carrying injures for most of last year that's why he was used as a sub .
What a sub as well , when he came on he had instant impact on the game with goals and through the midfield or don't you guys remember.

Remember him playing in the forward line, on a flank maybe? Would have ended up in the midfield a bit I guess.

But either way, he looked a completely different player running through the forward line (and some time in mid). This is the first year he's had the tank to really run around in the midfield for most of the game though. Has had poor luck with injuries since his first season, but also got a bit more serious in his application this preseason though.

Put the binoculars on him regularly on Sat and he is one determined, tough, focused and hard running hombre.Operating with demonic energy, strength and skill inside and covering a huge amount of ground hunting ball and man.
I don't know which of the 15 Amish daughters or sisters was standing him when Pav skewed it into the forward line for him to mark and kick his second from a challenging angle;but the cult hair looked like slipstream art.
Lyon is definitely into minimised footyprint 'cos Soob's another recycled product who will be barely recognizable:"Potential doesn't impact the contest!"
He was great.

So the last men standing in the Warnock trade is Suban and Warnock himself. Are we winning the trade? One game does not make a season but good to see Subes claw back some ground on the quality mids taken around him.

after watching the game a few times, yes im tragic, Suban really set the tone of the game. He stood up when we were challenged, kicked the first goal, kicked the last goal, and played the ball and man with violent intent, something our midfield lacks

If i had to pick who was going to be our best player this year from taht one game from sheer potential you have (Walters, Hill, Suban)

Grats to him for being mentioned next to those two whom are my favorite players.

Suban 4 President

ive always liked ibbo ... talented and i really hope to see him out there sometime this season

Ibbo does certain things very well, one of which is flying backwards as the enemy charges into your spine, he'll be in at some point in year

Was at the game last weekend and was very impressed with how he played, use of the ball and general way he went about the game. Had to watch the game on bigpondvideo again to fully appreciate it. Cannot say enough how hopeful I am for this young fella.

He has great potential if he can maintain that level of aggression an entire game, we don't have a type of player like him in the team that can use the ball so well. Only Deboer springs to mind but both his legs dont add up to Subans left. Always rated him, let's hope it continues.
(and leading league tackler for the NAB cup which should have been an indicator)
1/1 so far

EDIT: Forgot the Hobbit
