Premiership Player
He's too much of a confidence player.
So would you be if you were short (for a footballer), slow and lack defensive awareness (why he plays better forward).

Sutcliffe seems to be better as a burst player. Thought he was ordinary today.I think Lachie Neale has to start ahead of him. 1 good week and 3 average ones. We need to continue to get minutes into Sutcliffe, really rate this guy.
He wasn't the only one struggling to get his hand on it in the first quarter or the entire game. Sutcliffe had 10.. he gets that in a last quarter most times. Mzungu had 14 and let his opponent have 28 and kick 2 goals. Pearce had 15, De Boer had just 11 and did nothing much else, nor did he really nullify anyone. It's a real concern what to do with Suban. I thought it was simply going to be another case of 'losing the fat arse and buying in' ala sonny and clancee. Where they stop coasting and start applying 110%.
So Suban bought in, lost the weight and become one of the hardest trainers, and top runners at the club this pre-season.
And yet, last week, 10 disposals. This week 2 in a half of a game.
I know he got 20 disposals in round 1 and 2 but 2 in a half is unacceptable.
There's no point in just playing him as the Sub every week. He now has the fitness.
His best position seems to be half forward but we have a plethora of options there who are arguably more versatile than Suban.
Just play the better footballer and the form footballer -at the moment that is Neale
First time that I can recall seeing Lyon call out an individual player after a game.
God only knows what the spray was like behind closed doors.
It's what he didn't say that matters. What did RTB say publicly? I missed that.
It's what he didn't say that matters.
He did not say "Suban was anonymous today."
What RTB did say was that "Suban wasn't giving us anything."
Anonymous might have sounded better.
I thought exactly the same thing, very unusual. Maybe he feels that certain players require this kind of treatment.First time that I can recall seeing Lyon call out an individual player after a game.

Hard to believe maybe, but I reckon it was just frustration.
Reckon Ross didn't feel like making excuses at the time and couldn't be bothered formulating a politically correct response. Maybe it's deliberate, strategic tough love. But I reckon he'd just had the sh*ts.
The Sports Psychologist would have worked out the best way to motivate Suban, a haul over the coals, publically, will do better for some than others. It will be eating him up and I think he will put in some fantastic showings in the next few rounds (in the WAFL).I didn't like it, I love Ross but it was the coaching equivalent to the crowd booing your own player - I can't see how this is going to do Suban any good. I've no problem with subbing him off but the commentary was uncalled for IMO - I can only hope that he spoke to Suban in person to tell him what he did wrong before the press conference.
