One 3 vote game in 2013 apparently.
Rd 20, 2013 v GWS at Subi (Sunday 11 August 2013, 2.40pm).

Freo 24.13 (157) d GWS 6.8 (44). Freo's largest ever win.

Suban: 20 kicks; 6 handballs; 7 contested possessions; 2.0; 8 marks (1 contested); 2 tackles; 2 R50's; 3 I50's; 4 clearances; 3 turnovers; 3 free kicks for; 5 bounces*.

* We're 8-2 when Suban has 3+ bounces. This was Suban's last 3+ bounce game. His last bounce in any game was rd 18, 2015.

Crazy theory time...

Anyone here considered the possibilty Suban might be one of those rareish players who gets better with age, not worse?

He never had a lot of footspeed, so slowing down as he ages isn't much of an issue

He's never racked up a lot of possessions, but last game was a career high... it's uncommon, if not odd, to find your best after 140+ games.

His kicking was hit and miss over the last few seasons... but kicking, like all skills, gets better with practice. I couldn't really fault his disposal over the last two games.

His tackle numbers have always been high... but he doesn't win them through running down players... he doesn't have the speed for that... therefore he has to make up his tackle numbers at the inside contest... but that's also the mark of a player who's second to the ball - tackling the guy who just beat him to the possession. To rack up possession numbers you have to receive the ball, steal the ball or be first to reach it, all of which requires you to read the play. Subes just got his highest possession numbers ever, does that mean he's now reading the play better? A simplistic theory I know, but is it still possible?

Someone commented earlier that Subes was now a dad and something may have clicked for him... as a dad myself that idea really resonates with me. Your focus changes as a parent. Subes isn't playing just for himself anymore, he's also supporting a family... easier to do that playing afl than wafl.

I'm starting to think we shouldn't trade subes... if we do, we might be missing out on his best footy.

I'd be happy to keep Suban on if he keeps getting the ball and doing good things with it.

If I keep putting him down in here, will he keep defying me?

Because i'm sure this week his game will be nothing more than pathetic.

The more you think about it, how much he restricted his opponent but also got a career high disposal count and a goal it was just about the perfect taggers game. A certainty to play this week and now more likely than not to get to 150 games. You could have got high odds on him ever coming back into the team after round 2.

So good on him, if he is able to back up with similar performances over the next 8 or so games (something he has not done in the past) he would have earned the right to be seriously considered for next year.

Amazing how the last year of a contract can bring our the best in players.

Hope for the best from him . D.pearce play a few good game before his contract extension and then go back to his usual output.

That's the fear! but either way Suban couldn't ask for nearly as much now/if a new contract is considered.
