Just read that Subi will play Williamstown at Leederville tonight, starting at 6pm. Entry is free.

I need a fix of footy, so I'll be there, dusting off my Grand Final shirt....:D

Makes me look slimmer, yeah? :D

Not a bad hitout for Subi tonight. Lots of youngsters, a few vets like Horsley, Forrest, Broady. Williamstown had Hahn, Brett Johnson and a few others on the field. Both teams looked pretty fit and a lot of Subi supporters I know reckon it's the fittest their playing group have been in a couple of seasons.

So who won? Bloody bugger bumhead that I missed it too!

Subi by 10 points. It was a low scoring affair because it was 2 x 20 minute quarters and 2 x 10 minute quarters.

They actually looked pretty good for Jan to me Ljp. Pisano was another young player I was trying to think off that looked good. Robbie Forrest will also be a welcome addition, seemed to be running well.

I hope we're a lot better this year. It's been a long time since we haven't played any finals in any of our three sides, 2010 was our most disappointing season for a fair while although I suppose that you can't be up there forever.

Hopefully 2011 is the year where we can break back into the four in terms of the league side. The colts really need to improve as well, they haven't done much for a while, we seem to languish around 7th which has been the story for the colts over the past few seasons. Beating a VFL side, even in a practice match is good achievement though as the VFL is a strong comp and is probably the best behind the AFL. I'm spewing that the national domestic league wasn't formed a few years ago when we were at our peak as I reckon we would have been the best state team in the country.
